This article is about the child cast of the 1994 feature film The Little Rascals. Three decades after the movie introduced a new generation to Spanky, Alfalfa, Darla and the He-Man-Woman-Haters Club, the actors have followed very different paths. Blake McIver Ewing built a documented career in music and coaching, Ross Bagley and Courtland Mead continued into recognizable film and television work, while Bug Hall and Brittany Ashton Holmes largely stepped away from mainstream entertainment.

The title can be confusing: “The Little Rascals” was also the later syndicated name for the Our Gang shorts released from 1922 to 1944. The cast below is from Penelope Spheeris’s 1994 movie, released on August 5 of that year—not the original black-and-white series.

The 1994 Little Rascals cast at a glance

There is no single answer to what happened to the cast. Some actors continued working in entertainment, some moved into entirely different professions, and several have deliberately maintained private lives. The most responsible current account therefore separates confirmed recent public information from older reunion-era snapshots.

Character Actor Best-known work after the film Current public status
Spanky Travis Tedford Worked outside acting after his child-star years; a 2014 update placed him in marketing. Appears to work outside entertainment, but a precise current employer and location are not independently confirmed.
Alfalfa Bug Hall The Big Green, The Stupids and other acting work. Largely stepped away from mainstream Hollywood and keeps his present life private.
Darla Brittany Ashton Holmes Left acting after a small number of later appearances. Has remained largely out of the spotlight; current occupation and personal circumstances are not reliably documented.
Buckwheat Ross Bagley Nicky Banks on The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air and Dylan Dubrow in Independence Day. Best described as a former child actor with substantial 1990s and 2000s credits; current employment is not confirmed.
Stymie Kevin Jamal Woods Moved away from acting; market research was reported as his career direction in 2014. More recent authoritative public information is limited.
Waldo Blake McIver Ewing Composition, directing, vocal coaching and fitness work. The clearest current professional profile among the former child cast; he works as a multidisciplinary creative professional.
Porky Zachary Mabry Accounting was reported as his occupation in 2014. That is a dated report, not a verified current occupation.
Froggy Jordan Warkol Continued pursuing acting after the film. Current professional status is not clearly documented. In the movie, Froggy’s voice was dubbed by E.G. Daily.
Butch Sam Saletta Moved toward music and songwriting; commercials were also reported as part of his work. Music has been released under his name, but a current level of activity is not established.
Uh-Huh Courtland Mead Voice roles in Recess, Lloyd in Space and other animated productions. His best-documented screen work is in the 1990s and 2000s; he has largely stayed out of the recent public entertainment spotlight.
Woim Blake Collins Assistant cameraman work on Sons of Anarchy was reported in 2014. That remains a useful post-film career snapshot, but his present occupation is not verified.
Mary Ann Juliette Brewer Education was reported as her post-acting direction in 2014. No recent authoritative profile confirms her current work.
Jane Heather Karasek Costume design was reported as her post-acting direction in 2014. It is not confirmed whether she remains in that field today.

Status labels reflect publicly documented information, not claims about the actors’ private lives. “Limited public information” means that reliable recent sources were not located—not that an actor has disappeared or stopped working.

Travis Tedford as Spanky

Travis Tedford played Spanky, the club’s pint-sized leader and one of the film’s central comic presences. Unlike some of his co-stars, Tedford did not build a long, highly visible adult acting career.

A 2014 reunion update reported that he was living in the Dallas area and working in marketing. A more recent publicly indexed professional profile for someone named Travis Tedford lists different employment and education details, but the identity cannot be authenticated conclusively from the available information. The careful conclusion is that Tedford appears to have pursued work outside entertainment, while his exact employer and location should not be stated as settled fact.

Bug Hall as Alfalfa

Brandon “Bug” Hall became the film’s most recognizable young performer by playing Alfalfa Switzer, the lovestruck boy whose attempts to serenade Darla repeatedly threaten the He-Man-Woman-Haters Club.

Hall continued acting after The Little Rascals, including appearances in The Big Green, The Stupids and other film and television productions. Over time, however, he retreated from mainstream Hollywood and has kept his current life comparatively private. Public biographies contain additional claims about his family life, but those details are not supported consistently by a current direct interview or official profile, so they are best left out of a definitive “where are they now?” account.

Reports about alleged legal matters should not be treated as an update without a verified court record or a reputable contemporaneous report. An allegation, if ever reported, is not the same thing as a conviction or final disposition.

Brittany Ashton Holmes as Darla

Brittany Ashton Holmes played Darla, Alfalfa’s affection and the object of his famously breathless singing. Holmes left acting after her childhood performances and has remained largely out of the public eye.

The best-known reunion-era reporting said that she had moved on from acting and was pursuing other parts of her life. Later nostalgia coverage likewise described her as private and mostly absent from social media, aside from a small later acting appearance and the 2014 reunion. There is not enough reliable current evidence to state her present residence, occupation, marital status or educational status as fact.

Ross Bagley as Buckwheat

Ross Bagley played Buckwheat and went on to have one of the most recognizable post-film careers among the young cast. He played Nicky Banks on The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air and appeared as Dylan Dubrow in the 1996 science-fiction blockbuster Independence Day.

His acting credits are concentrated mainly in the 1990s and 2000s. Reunion coverage in 2014 said he was still acting and also working as a DJ, but no current official profile confirms that this remains his occupation. The most accurate present-day description is “former child actor” with notable later television and film credits, rather than a claim about his current job.

Kevin Jamal Woods as Stymie

Kevin Jamal Woods played Stymie, the club’s vice president. After acting, reunion-era reporting said that Woods worked in market research.

That report is useful evidence of his post-child-acting direction, but it dates from 2014. More recent authoritative information is sparse, so market research should be described as his last specifically sourced career update—not as a confirmed occupation in 2026.

Blake McIver Ewing as Waldo

Blake McIver Ewing played Waldo, the wealthy, polished rival whose arrival complicates Alfalfa’s pursuit of Darla. He has the strongest and most current public professional footprint of the former child cast.

Ewing continued working in entertainment, but his career expanded well beyond acting. His official professional materials identify him as a composer for visual media, with music licensing, custom music and a catalog of releases. A June 2025 podcast appearance also described him as a director, vocal coach, personal trainer and “recovering child actor.”

In other words, Ewing did not simply return to the same kind of child-star work. He developed a multidisciplinary career combining composition, directing, voice training and fitness. That makes him one of the clearest examples of a Little Rascals performer remaining publicly active while changing professional lanes.

Zachary Mabry as Porky

Zachary Mabry played Porky, one of the younger members of the gang. The 2014 reunion coverage reported that Mabry was working as an accountant.

No authoritative recent profile was located to establish whether accounting remains his occupation. It is therefore more accurate to say that he was reported to be working as an accountant in 2014 than to write that he “is now an accountant.” His limited public profile also illustrates why old reunion articles should not be presented as live biographies.

Jordan Warkol as Froggy

Jordan Warkol played Froggy, whose raspy voice is one of the movie’s most memorable character traits. The on-screen performance and the voice are not quite the same: E.G. Daily dubbed Froggy’s voice in the film.

Reunion coverage said Warkol continued acting in the Los Angeles area after the movie. Current authoritative information about his occupation or recent credits is limited, so the strongest update is that he was among the cast members who pursued acting after The Little Rascals, while his present professional status is not clearly documented.

Sam Saletta as Butch

Sam Saletta played Butch, the gang’s antagonist, with Blake Collins as Woim, his sidekick. A reunion-era update described Saletta as a singer-songwriter who also worked on commercials.

Music released under Saletta’s name includes a 2016 single, confirming a recorded-music connection, although a platform listing alone cannot establish how active he is today or whether music is his primary occupation. The cautious summary is that Saletta moved toward music and songwriting after acting and does not have a strong current public profile.

Courtland Mead as Uh-Huh

Courtland Mead played Uh-Huh and developed a substantial voice-acting résumé after the film. His credits include animated series such as Recess and Lloyd in Space, along with other voice and screen work.

Public career summaries identify his latest widely documented screen work as being around 2010. No recent authoritative source confirms his current employment. Rather than saying that Mead vanished from entertainment, it is fairer to say that he built a notable post-Rascals voice career and has largely remained outside the recent public spotlight.

Blake Collins as Woim

Blake Collins played Woim, Butch’s sidekick. The 2014 reunion update reported that Collins was working as an assistant cameraman on Sons of Anarchy.

That detail suggests a move behind the camera, but it is a dated career snapshot. There is not enough current public information to confirm whether Collins remains a camera professional or works in another field today.

Juliette Brewer as Mary Ann

Juliette Brewer played Mary Ann, one of the girls in the gang. Reunion coverage reported that Brewer was working in education in 2014.

No current official profile or recent interview was found to verify her present occupation. Education is therefore best described as her reported post-film direction at that time, not as a confirmed 2026 job.

Heather Karasek as Jane

Heather Karasek played Jane. The 2014 update reported that she had moved into costume design.

There is no recent authoritative source confirming whether she continues to work in costume design. It remains the clearest publicly reported account of her post-acting path, but not a definitive statement about her current career.

The 2014 cast reunion

For the movie’s twentieth anniversary, 22 Vision organized a reunion of the principal young cast. The participants recreated the original poster and several recognizable scenes, giving fans a rare chance to see the actors together as adults.

Hall, Holmes, Ewing, Woods, Tedford, Mabry, Bagley, Saletta, Collins, Warkol, Brewer and Karasek took part. The event is valuable because it documented several of the cast members’ lives and careers at one point in adulthood. But it took place in 2014. It is now twelve years old and should be read as a historical snapshot, not as a current cast directory.

Is The Little Rascals Save the Day a sequel with the original cast?

No. Universal’s The Little Rascals Save the Day, released in 2014 as a direct-to-video family film, used a new cast. Its performers included Jet Jurgensmeyer, Drew Justice, Connor Berry, Jenna Ortega, Isaiah Fredericks and Camden Gray.

It is a separate production rather than a continuation starring the 1994 child actors. Readers looking for the original cast should look specifically for the 1994 movie. If you want to revisit the film, the 1994 Blu-ray is one physical-media option, subject to current retailer availability.

Why so many former child actors have limited public updates

“Where are they now?” coverage often turns a lack of searchable information into a claim that a performer disappeared. That is not what the available evidence shows here. Some of these actors moved into ordinary professional lives, some changed careers within entertainment, and others chose not to maintain a public profile.

The 2014 reunion supplied useful details—marketing, market research, accounting, education, costume design, camera work and music—but those reports cannot automatically answer what each person is doing today. A responsible update should not publish private addresses, unverified social-media claims or unsupported assertions about marriage, children, retirement, death, employers or exact locations.

The cast’s varied paths are more interesting than a simple “where did they go?” narrative: Ewing remains publicly active as a creative professional; Bagley and Mead have identifiable later acting and voice credits; Hall moved away from mainstream Hollywood; Holmes has chosen privacy; and several supporting players have not maintained a regularly documented public career.

A note about the original Our Gang shorts

The 1994 movie drew on characters from the much older Our Gang series, which ran from 1922 to 1944 and was later syndicated under the name The Little Rascals. The original shorts featured an entirely different generation of performers and have their own complicated production and racial history. They should not be mixed with the 1994 cast when identifying actors or researching later careers.

Blake McIver Ewing, who played Waldo, developed a career as a composer for visual media. His public professional work also includes directing, vocal coaching and personal training.

The Bottom Line

Three decades after The Little Rascals premiered, its former child stars have taken very different paths. Blake McIver Ewing remains publicly active as a composer and multidisciplinary coach, while Ross Bagley and Courtland Mead built recognizable careers beyond the film. Bug Hall largely stepped away from Hollywood, Brittany Ashton Holmes chose privacy, and several supporting players are best documented through the 2014 reunion rather than recent authoritative reporting. For many of the cast members, the most accurate current update is not that they vanished—it is that they are no longer seeking the spotlight.
