How long is The Judge, and when was it released?
Warner Bros. lists the runtime as 141 minutes. Rotten Tomatoes gives the US release date as October 10, 2014. The title refers to Joseph Palmer’s role as a judge; the story is also centered on the fractured relationship between him and Hank. In its October 8, 2014 review, TIME treated the courtroom drama as a story of family estrangement and compared some of its territory to To Kill a Mockingbird—the reviewer’s framing, rather than a formal classification of the film.
Where can you watch or buy The Judge?
Availability depends on your country and can change. The film has a digital catalog page on Apple TV in the US, and Netflix Tudum has a title page indicating streaming access. Neither listing guarantees that the film is currently streamable in every region: check the services available where you live for current rental, purchase, or subscription options.

For a physical copy, Warner Bros. Italia announced DVD and Blu-ray editions on February 25, 2015, and linked to Amazon. That confirms the formats existed, not that a particular seller has stock today or what it costs. Check the listing for your region’s playback compatibility, included features, and total price before buying.
What is known about the Blu-ray presentation?
Sound & Vision’s review of a particular Blu-ray edition reports a 141-minute presentation in 2.40:1 with DTS-HD Master Audio 5.1. The reviewer praised its detail and dialogue presentation. Those are edition-specific technical details and an individual reviewer’s assessment, not a guarantee about every Blu-ray release or playback setup. The available information does not establish edition-specific bonus features.

Is The Judge a courtroom film or a family drama?
It is both: Hank’s defense of his father supplies the legal case, while their history and estrangement supply the personal conflict. TIME’s contemporaneous review emphasized that overlap. Viewers looking for a courtroom story should expect the family relationship to remain central rather than serve only as background to the case.
