The Chosen: Last Supper, the fifth season of The Chosen, follows Jesus and those around him through Passover, his entry into Jerusalem and the Last Supper. It has eight episodes and is available on Prime Video and free through The Chosen app, though streaming access can vary by market. The series is a dramatized interpretation of Gospel stories, not a documentary reconstruction.

Is The Chosen a documentary?
No. The Chosen is a historical drama based on Gospel stories, not a documentary reconstruction of events. The series’ official FAQ says some locations and timelines are combined or condensed, and that backstories, characters and dialogue have been added. Those dramatic choices help shape a television story but should not be mistaken for independently documented details of the biblical accounts.
For the Gospel narratives themselves, read the relevant passages directly rather than treating scenes or dialogue in the series as a verbatim record. The show’s official FAQ explains its approach to adaptation.
