These Cyber Monday streaming deals are historical, not active offers. The promotions covered in this roundup expired on December 1, 2025, including Disney+ and Hulu for $4.99 per month and HBO Max for $2.99 per month. As of August 12, 2026, you should not expect either price to be available.
The two standout offers were the ad-supported Disney+ and Hulu bundle at $4.99 per month for 12 months and HBO Max at $2.99 per month for 12 months. The original deal roundup also included Apple TV, STARZ, Prime Video Channels, FuboTV, YouTube TV, Walmart+, and discounted streaming hardware.
Expiration warning: Disney’s official promotion terms stated that its $4.99 Disney+ and Hulu offer ended at 11:59 p.m. Pacific Time on December 1, 2025. The other prices below were Cyber Monday 2025 promotions and should be treated as an archived price record, not a current buying link.

- HBO Max with ads: $2.99 per month for 12 months, either as a qualifying Hulu add-on or through a standalone signup.
- Apple TV: $5.99 per month for the first six months.
- Disney+, Hulu, and ESPN: $25.99 per month for 12 months in the offer reported by the original roundup.
- STARZ through Hulu: $2.99 per month for 12 months.
The offers were not interchangeable. Some were standalone subscriptions, some were add-ons to an existing service, some were live-TV packages, and Walmart+’s promotion was a membership perk rather than a simple streaming subscription. Comparing the headline monthly prices without checking the billing route could therefore produce the wrong deal for your situation.
1. Disney+ and Hulu: $4.99 per month for 12 months
This was the clearest all-purpose streaming bargain in the December 2025 roundup. The ad-supported Disney+ and Hulu bundle cost $4.99 per month for 12 months, compared with the listed regular price of $12.99 per month. Over the promotional year, that worked out to $59.88 rather than $155.88—a potential saving of $96 before the subscription returned to its normal rate.
The bundle included the ad-supported versions of both services. That means viewers received a lower price in exchange for commercial breaks; it was not the ad-free tier. Disney also advertised a discount of 25% on its ad-free bundle, but the source promotion did not provide one definitive promotional monthly price for that version.
Eligibility and renewal rules
Disney’s official terms limited the offer to residents of the United States who were new subscribers or eligible returning subscribers. “Returning subscriber” did not mean every former customer qualified. Active bundle subscribers, some customers with a pending cancellation, and some annual subscribers were excluded under the promotion rules.

Anyone who claimed the offer needed to note the renewal date rather than treating the promotional price as permanent.

For comparison, the current Disney+, Hulu, and HBO Max bundle page available in the research lists $19.99 per month with ads and $32.99 per month without ads, with no annual bundle option shown. Those are current bundle figures reported as of August 12, 2026—not a continuation of the Cyber Monday 2025 promotion.
2. HBO Max: $2.99 per month for 12 months
The lowest headline price in the roundup belonged to HBO Max. Eligible customers could get the ad-supported plan for $2.99 per month for 12 months. The offer appeared in two billing routes:
- Hulu add-on: eligible Hulu customers could add HBO Max with ads to a qualifying Hulu account.
- Standalone subscription: a separate HBO Max signup was also reported at $2.99 per month for the first 12 months.
The Hulu route generally required an existing qualifying Hulu subscription. Coverage at the time identified certain Hulu bundle and Live TV customers among the potentially eligible groups, but eligibility also depended on whether the customer was new to HBO Max or an eligible returning subscriber.
The $2.99 promotional rate lasted for one year and then reverted to the applicable standard price. Contemporary reporting cited different regular prices—$9.99 in one account and $10.99 in another—so it is safer to preserve the stable facts, namely $2.99 for 12 months, than to claim one universal post-promotion price. The difference may have reflected plan composition, billing route, or the date on which the offer was described.
That distinction matters if you subscribe through Hulu. An HBO Max add-on billed through Hulu may need to be managed through Hulu rather than through a direct HBO Max account. The signup screen and terms should identify who bills you, when the promotional term ends, and what happens if the underlying Hulu subscription is canceled.

Other Cyber Monday 2025 streaming subscriptions
The original deal list included several additional offers. The table preserves the advertised term so that a six-month discount or a one-month live-TV promotion is not mistaken for a full-year price.
| Service or route | Historical Cyber Monday 2025 offer | What to check |
|---|---|---|
| Apple TV | $5.99 per month for the first six months | The discount lasted six months, not 12. |
| Disney+, Hulu, and ESPN | $25.99 per month for 12 months, reduced from $35.99 in the original roundup | PCWorld reported a related version at $29.99 per month, indicating that plan composition or offer version differed. Do not merge the two figures. |
| STARZ through Hulu | $2.99 per month for 12 months | This was a Hulu add-on, not necessarily a standalone STARZ subscription. |
| Prime Video Channels | Selected channels, including HBO Max, AMC+, and STARZ, from $1.25 per month for up to 12 months | “From” applied only to selected channels and eligible plans; each channel could have different terms. |
| FuboTV Pro | $54.99 for the first month, down from $84.99 | This was a one-month introductory price, not a 12-month lock-in. |
| YouTube TV | $72.99 per month for the first three months, down from $82.99 | The introductory rate lasted three months. Three discounted months totaled $218.97 before the plan returned to its regular rate. |
| Walmart+ | A membership promotion that included a choice of Peacock or Paramount+ | The quoted deal coverage did not state the membership’s promotional price. Members could switch between the included services every 90 days. |
Why the bundle prices did not always match
Different contemporaneous roundups reported different prices for related bundles. PCWorld listed a Disney+, Hulu, and ESPN version at $29.99 per month, while the original Android Central roundup listed $25.99. PCWorld also reported a Disney+, Hulu, and HBO Max bundle at $19.99 per month with ads. These figures should be understood as separate offer versions unless the plan names, included services, ad tier, and billing terms match exactly.
The practical lesson is simple: a low monthly number is not enough. Before subscribing, confirm the exact services included, whether the plan contains ads, whether the subscription is billed directly or through a platform such as Hulu or Amazon, and how long the introductory rate lasts.
Cyber Monday streaming-device deals
A discounted subscription still requires a compatible television, streaming stick, box, game console, or mobile device. The 2025 roundup also covered these streaming devices:
| Device | Cyber Monday 2025 price | Advertised regular price | Notable features cited in the roundup |
|---|---|---|---|
| Roku Streaming Stick Plus | $19.99 | $39.99 | 4K playback and HDMI connectivity |
| Google TV Streamer 4K | $74.99 | $99.99 | 4K, HDR, Dolby Vision, and access to free channels |
| Amazon Fire TV Stick HD | $17.99 | $34.99 | Lower-cost HD streaming |
| Amazon Fire TV Stick 4K Max | $34.99 | $59.99 | 16GB storage, 4K output, and Xbox gaming support |
| Amazon Fire TV Cube | $89.99 | $139.99 | 4K, HDR, Dolby Vision, and AI-related features |
| NVIDIA Shield Android TV Streaming Player | $124.99 | $149.99 | AI upscaling, Dolby Vision HDR, and GeForce NOW support |
These are historical sale prices. They should not be used as current valuations without checking the retailer and the exact model. In particular, Amazon’s official documentation identifies the Fire TV Stick 4K Max 2nd Gen as a 2023 product with 16GB of storage, Wi-Fi 6E, Dolby Vision, HDR10+, HLG, and Dolby Atmos support. A current listing may differ from the model or configuration sold during the 2025 promotion.

- 4K picture quality: With Roku Streaming Stick Plus, watch your favorites with brilliant 4K picture and vivid HDR color.
- Compact without compromises: Our sleek design won’t block neighboring HDMI ports, and it even powers from your TV alone, plugging into the back and staying out of sight. No wall outlet, no extra cords, no clutter.

If you need a current 4K playback device for Hulu, Disney+, or HBO Max, the Amazon Fire TV Stick 4K Max is the most directly relevant device from the historical list, while the Roku Streaming Stick Plus was the lower-cost 4K alternative featured in the same roundup. Check that your television has the required HDMI connection and that the device supports the video and audio formats you actually use. A 4K device cannot turn an HD television into a 4K display, and the service, title, television, and network must all support the higher resolution for 4K playback.

How to evaluate a similar streaming promotion
- Identify the billing route. Decide whether the offer is direct from the service, an add-on through Hulu or Amazon, or part of a live-TV or membership package. The company collecting the payment usually controls billing and cancellation.
- Read the eligibility language. Look for “new,” “returning,” “eligible returning,” or “qualifying” customers. Do not assume an existing subscriber can claim the offer simply because the promotion appears publicly.
- Separate the ad tier from the ad-free tier. The $4.99 Disney+ and Hulu offer was for the ad-supported bundle. A discounted ad-free plan is a different product with different pricing.
- Calculate the complete introductory cost. Multiply the monthly price by the actual promotional term. For example, $5.99 for six months is $35.94 during the offer, while $72.99 for three months is $218.97.
- Find the renewal price and date. A 12-month promotion can become an ordinary monthly subscription on the thirteenth billing cycle. Put a reminder on your calendar before the renewal date.
- Check what cancellation does. Some services may let you keep access until the paid period ends, while others may handle promotional subscriptions differently. Read the service’s current cancellation terms before confirming.
- Confirm the included catalog and devices. A bundle can be cheap but unnecessary if it duplicates a service you already pay for or cannot play on your television.
What documentary viewers should prioritize
For a viewer primarily looking for documentaries, the best historical deal depended less on the lowest headline price than on which catalog and delivery method fit the household. The Disney+ and Hulu bundle offered two services under one subscription, while the HBO Max promotion was most useful to someone who specifically wanted HBO Max content and could meet the relevant eligibility rules. STARZ, Prime Video Channels, and the live-TV services were add-ons or broader packages rather than direct substitutes for either bundle.
Live-TV promotions also deserve extra caution. FuboTV Pro at $54.99 for the first month and YouTube TV at $72.99 for the first three months were introductory live-TV prices, not simple on-demand streaming deals. If you only want occasional documentaries, the short promotional term and later renewal price may matter more than the first bill.
Current-status check: what remains available?
There is no basis for treating the Cyber Monday 2025 prices as live in August 2026. The original article’s “end tonight” wording applied to December 1, 2025, when several promotions were scheduled to close at midnight. Disney’s official terms explicitly confirmed that its offer was no longer valid after that deadline.
The only current bundle pricing established in the available research is Hulu’s Disney+, Hulu, and HBO Max bundle at $19.99 per month with ads or $32.99 per month without ads, with no annual option shown. Those prices are materially higher than the expired $4.99 and $2.99 promotions. Current standalone prices, current add-on eligibility, and current device prices should be checked directly before publication of any new deal alert.

Evidence note: The historical deal figures come from the exact December 1, 2025 roundup and were cross-checked where possible against contemporaneous PCWorld, TechRadar, and Kiplinger coverage. Disney’s official promotion terms supply the expiration, eligibility, and renewal details. Amazon’s official documentation supplies the Fire TV Stick 4K Max 2nd Gen specifications. Some regular prices and bundle figures differed across sources, so this article preserves the plan and term rather than presenting conflicting versions as one offer.
Frequently Asked Questions
Can I still get the $4.99 Disney+ and Hulu deal?
No. Disney’s official terms said the promotion ended at 11:59 p.m. Pacific Time on December 1, 2025. The $4.99 price should be treated as a historical Cyber Monday 2025 offer.
Was the $2.99 HBO Max price for everyone?
No. Eligibility depended on the billing route and customer history. The Hulu add-on generally required a qualifying Hulu account, and both the add-on and standalone versions targeted new or eligible returning HBO Max customers.
Did the Disney+ and Hulu promotion include ad-free viewing?
The $4.99 offer was for the ad-supported Disney+ and Hulu bundle. Disney also discounted an ad-free bundle, but the source promotion did not state one definitive monthly price for that version.
What happened after the 12-month Disney+ and Hulu promotion?
The subscription automatically renewed at $12.99 per month or the then-current regular price unless canceled. Customers needed to check the renewal date and the terms attached to their specific signup.
The Bottom Line
Bottom line: the $4.99 Disney+ and Hulu bundle and $2.99 HBO Max offer were excellent Cyber Monday 2025 prices, but both expired on December 1, 2025. Use this page as a historical comparison, not as proof of a current deal.
