Later episode-guide highlights include an Intersection at a Roadblock in Osaka, a double U-Turn, skydiving in Dubai, the show’s first visit to Bulgaria, pizza-making in Naples and water jousting in Strasbourg. The finale takes place in Miami. CBS describes the season as covering nine countries and 18 cities, with a route of more than 29,000 miles, and lists a $1 million prize. Those are CBS’s published season figures; the available sources do not provide an independently audited route-distance calculation. See the CBS season 37 episode guide for the network’s episode descriptions.
What the creators said about the route
In the February 5, 2025 Paramount announcement, co-creators and executive producers Bertram van Munster and Elise Doganieri highlighted Osaka, Dubai, Bulgaria and Strasbourg. They described a taiko performance in Osaka as drawing on a “12,000-year-old tradition.” That is promotional wording from the creators’ statement, not an independently assessed account of the tradition’s history.
