The most-watched streaming shows in the latest comparable U.S. chart are Neagley, Monster: The Lizzie Borden Story, Reacher, The Big Bang Theory and Lioness. Nielsen’s chart measures minutes watched on television from September 14–20, 2026; it is the latest comparable weekly ranking available here, not a real-time count of every viewer or device.
How Nielsen ranks the shows
The ranking below is based on Nielsen’s U.S. streaming chart for September 14–20, 2026. It counts total minutes viewed among people ages 2 and older on television sets. That makes the figures useful for comparing these five titles over the same week, but they are not counts of unique viewers, worldwide popularity, or viewing on phones and computers. Nielsen describes its chart as covering top U.S. streaming programs across originals, movies and acquired titles: Nielsen Top 10.
Nielsen lists providers with program-level data in specified reporting systems, while its viewing data include streaming beyond those listed providers. The provider below is the service Nielsen names for each title in this chart; availability can differ by country and change over time.
The 5 most-watched streaming shows
| Rank | Show | Minutes viewed | Provider listed by Nielsen | What to expect |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| 1 | Neagley | 1,776 million | Prime Video | Action thriller and a spin-off in the Reacher universe. |
| 2 | Monster: The Lizzie Borden Story | 1,481 million | Netflix | A true-crime dramatization in Netflix’s Monster anthology. |
| 3 | Reacher | 1,420 million | Prime Video | An action series adapted from Lee Child’s Jack Reacher novels. |
| 4 | The Big Bang Theory | 950 million | HBO Max | A long-running ensemble sitcom, available to watch by episode. |
| 5 | Lioness | 897 million | Paramount+ | A contemporary espionage thriller. |
All five minute totals are Nielsen figures for September 14–20, 2026. A high total can reflect a large audience, long episodes, repeat viewing, or a deep catalog—not simply more individual viewers.

What other charts say about two of the leaders
Monster: The Lizzie Borden Story on Netflix
Netflix’s global chart for September 14–20 placed Season 1 first among shows, reporting 12.1 million views and 80.1 million hours watched. In a separate report published September 29, Netflix said the title stayed No. 1 on its English TV list for September 21–27, with 14.5 million views, 20% more than the previous week. These are Netflix’s global, service-specific figures, not Nielsen’s U.S. television minutes. See Netflix Tudum’s weekly Top 10.
Neagley and Reacher on Prime Video
Amazon’s worldwide Prime Original series ranking for September 21–27 placed Neagley first and Reacher second. Amazon’s list is based on accounts that watched any available season; it is neither a minutes-viewed measure nor a direct comparison with Nielsen’s U.S. results. Amazon explains its weekly rankings at About Amazon’s Prime Video Top 10.

Weekly popularity is not the same as long-term viewing
For a broader time horizon, Nielsen’s first-half 2026 totals put Stranger Things first overall with 23.2 billion minutes, Bluey second with 22.8 billion, and The Pitt third with 21.1 billion. Those figures cover six months, not the single week used for the top five above; they answer a different question. Nielsen’s Streaming Landscape 2026 report provides that longer-range context.
