A dependable, publication-ready list of 23 Amazon Original movies currently included with Prime Video cannot be established from the available title-specific evidence. What Amazon’s weekly chart can—and can’t—tell you
Amazon’s chart for September 21–27, 2026 ranks Prime Original films by worldwide Prime Video accounts that watched a title during that Monday-to-Sunday period. Amazon’s chart is a time-bounded popularity signal, not a quality ranking or a measure of enduring popularity. Amazon also says the chart differs from the shorter-period, country-specific ranking shown in its app.

For that week, the worldwide list began with The Love Hypothesis, Drawn Together / Enfrentados: Marfil and You+Me – Against the World. The same chart’s non-English list was led by Drawn Together / Enfrentados: Marfil, followed by You+Me – Against the World and several other titles. These entries may help viewers discover films, including international ones, but a chart position alone does not establish that a movie is currently released, available in a given country, or included with that country’s Prime subscription.
Why “Prime Video” availability is not enough
A film appearing in the Prime Video app does not necessarily mean it is an Amazon Original or included with Prime. Amazon’s awards coverage distinguishes Prime Originals from films that can be rented or bought, or watched through third-party channel subscriptions. Its Golden Globe coverage identifies Hedda as a Prime Original and provides award context, while its Oscar coverage labels different access modes—including subscription, rental or purchase, preorder, and add-on channels. What a trustworthy 23-film guide would need to verify
- Original status: confirm from a title-specific source rather than assuming that a film produced by Amazon MGM Studios, or listed in the app, is a Prime Original.
- Included access: confirm that playback is included with the Prime subscription, not a rental, purchase, preorder, or paid channel.
- Territory and date: specify the country and the day availability was checked; rights can differ across countries and change over time.
- Selection rationale: treat “best” as an editorial judgment informed by genre, mood, era, language and region, audience appeal, and verified awards or viewing data—not as an official Amazon score.
The available official material supports those distinctions and one dated global chart, but does not establish the required title-by-title facts for a complete list of 23 films in any named territory. Naming 23 movies as currently included would therefore risk presenting rentals, channel titles, or regionally unavailable films as subscription-included Amazon Originals.

- Open the film’s detail page in Prime Video while using the account and country where you plan to watch.
- Check whether the page identifies it as a Prime Original; do not infer Original status from the Prime Video logo or app listing alone.
- Check the playback option. Confirm it is included with the subscription rather than marked for rent, purchase, preorder, or a channel subscription.
- If relying on a ranking, note its country or global scope and date range. A worldwide weekly chart records recent viewing activity, not quality.
Amazon says Prime Video is included with Prime membership, but membership terms and prices depend on geography and may change. Amazon’s Prime Video information is a starting point for service context; the film’s own detail page is the relevant place to check its current access option.
