The Streamlabs App Store is a catalog of third-party apps you browse, install, and use inside Streamlabs Desktop. It is not a general app marketplace for every streaming tool: Streamlabs says App Store apps are currently exclusive to Desktop, while many of its own widgets also work in Streamlabs Plugin for OBS. That distinction matters if you are choosing tools for a workflow outside Desktop.
What is the Streamlabs App Store?
Streamlabs describes the App Store as a built-in library of apps from third-party developers. Streamlabs reviews apps before listing them, and creators can discover, install, manage, and add them to scenes from within Desktop. The catalog page describes it as containing “dozens” of apps; that is Streamlabs’ qualitative description, not a fixed count. Check the live Streamlabs App Store for current listings.
Apps cover several kinds of streaming tasks, including audience interaction, on-screen design, automation, analytics, monetization, and event reactions. Streamlabs’ examples also include timers, stream-safe music, game stats, sound alerts, polls, and mini-games. These are examples of categories, not a guarantee that every type has a currently available listing.
How are apps different from widgets?
Streamlabs defines widgets as features made by its own team; examples include Alert Box, Chat Box, Game Pulse, Polls, and Chat Highlight. Apps are third-party tools that Streamlabs says it reviews for functionality and safety.
#1 Best Overall
- Read Before You Buy — No Video Output: These adapters support charging and USB 2.0 data transfer, but cannot transmit video signals. Except for standard USB webcams (which use USB data only), they are not compatible with HDMI/DisplayPort cables, video-capable USB-C hubs, or docking stations with video output.
- Convert USB-A Ports to USB-C: Designed to connect USB-C earphones, cables, flash drives, card readers, and other USB-C accessories to standard USB-A ports. Plug-and-play with no drivers or software required.
- Aluminum Alloy Housing: Built with a sturdy aluminum alloy shell that aids in heat dissipation and protects against daily wear and scratches. Designed to maintain a stable and secure connection.
- Compact & Travel-Friendly: The ultra-compact design allows the adapter to stay plugged into your device without blocking adjacent ports or adding bulk, reducing wear and tear on your original USB ports.
- 12-Month Warranty: Backed by a 12-month manufacturer warranty for peace of mind. Designed to meet strict quality control standards for reliable everyday performance.
| Feature | Streamlabs widgets | App Store apps |
|---|---|---|
| Who makes them | Streamlabs | Third-party developers; reviewed by Streamlabs before listing |
| Where they work | Most widgets can be used in Streamlabs Desktop and Streamlabs Plugin for OBS, according to Streamlabs | Currently available exclusively in Streamlabs Desktop, according to Streamlabs |
| Examples | Alert Box, Chat Box, Game Pulse, Polls, Chat Highlight | Music, game stats, sound alerts, viewer interaction, design, monetization, and analytics tools |
This reflects Streamlabs’ stated product distinction; availability can change. An app described as an integration elsewhere in Streamlabs is not necessarily an App Store app.
What kinds of apps can streamers find?
Use the categories as a way to narrow your search, then verify the individual listing’s current features, access requirements, and developer contact details.

How do you install and use an app?
- Download and open Streamlabs Desktop. App Store apps are currently available there, not generally across all streaming software.
- Open App Store from Desktop navigation. Streamlabs says the store and installed apps can be pinned in the navigation.
- Choose an app that suits the task, and review its current listing for access terms and any app-specific details.
- Select Install. After installation, use Desktop’s app management options and add the app source to a scene where appropriate.
Streamlabs states that cloud storage can carry apps to a new PC. That does not establish that every third-party app saves all settings or data in the cloud, so check the app’s own information before relying on it during a migration.

Are App Store apps free?
Access is mixed. Streamlabs names Sponsorships and Sidekick as examples of free apps and says most apps are exclusive to Streamlabs Ultra subscribers. The actual terms can vary by app and may change, so check the live listing and Streamlabs’ Streamlabs Ultra guide before subscribing or choosing a tool. No current subscription price or universal app-by-app eligibility is established here.
Are Talk Studio integrations App Store apps?
Not necessarily. Streamlabs documents Talk Studio integrations separately, including Cloudbot moderation, tipping, alerts, and live chat widgets. Its setup guidance involves Talk Studio’s Apps button, Streamlabs connections, tip methods, and Alert Box customization. These features provide context for Streamlabs integrations more broadly, but should not be confused with apps installed through the Desktop App Store. See Talk Studio Integrated Apps for that product’s instructions.

Can developers submit an app?
Streamlabs directs prospective App Store developers to its platform site: log in with Twitch, create an app, submit the application form, and wait for next steps. Listing is subject to Streamlabs’ review; submitting an application does not guarantee acceptance.
API application registration is a separate process, not a shortcut to an App Store listing. Streamlabs’ registration page is specifically for API v1.0 and points developers toward v2.0 documentation: Register your application.

Keep a YouTube stream running without leaving a computer on
The App Store is for extending a Streamlabs Desktop workflow; it is not a cloud service for looping uploaded videos continuously on YouTube. If your separate goal is an always-on YouTube channel, StreamNeo is #1 for that use case: it runs uploaded videos from the cloud at any quality up to 4K 60fps for one flat price per slot, and the first day is free.
Or let it run in the cloud
With StreamNeo, upload a recording or build a playlist, add your YouTube stream key once, and go live. The cloud keeps the video running, so your computer and home connection do not need to stay on. It streams the upload as made, up to 4K 60fps, at one price per slot regardless of quality, and automatically recovers if YouTube drops the stream. The first day is free with no card. Monthly: $9.99 per month. StreamNeo streams uploaded videos to YouTube; it does not go live from a camera. Start your free day with StreamNeo.
