Do not rely on U.S. release calendars—or on the similarly titled 2025 roundup—to determine what was available to Canadian subscribers.
The week ran from Tuesday, September 1, through Monday, September 7, 2026. The matching indexed roundup refers to September 1–7, 2025, not 2026. Individual titles need to be checked against the Canadian service listing, including whether they are included with a subscription, require a channel add-on, or are available only to rent or buy.
Why the year matters
“September 1–7” is ambiguous without a year. September 1, 2026 was a Tuesday and September 7 was a Monday, while the indexed MobileSyrup article published on August 31, 2025 covered the equivalent week in 2025. Its existence confirms this is a recurring Canadian streaming-roundup format, but it does not verify a 2026 schedule.
The available 2026 search evidence confirms that similar weekly coverage continued, including a July 27–August 2 roundup, but it does not establish a complete Canadian list for September 1–7. A title announced for the United States should not be treated as available in Canada unless the Canadian service page or a Canadian first-party announcement confirms it.

Where to verify Canadian availability
Use the Canadian version of each service rather than an American release calendar. Check the title’s Canadian release date, release format and access terms immediately before publishing or subscribing.
- Apple TV: Apple’s Canadian branding now generally uses Apple TV, although Apple TV+ remains familiar editorial shorthand. The subscription focuses on Apple Originals and does not automatically include rentals, purchases or third-party channels displayed in the Apple TV app.
- Crave: Check whether access comes through direct billing, a television provider, a bundle or a partner platform. Crave schedules can change, as Bell notes in its weekly streaming overviews.
- Disney+: The Canadian service covers Disney, Pixar, Marvel, Star Wars, National Geographic and other programming, but the available tier can affect advertising, downloads, simultaneous streams and video quality.
- Netflix: Netflix’s Canadian catalogue and release dates can differ from the United States. Canadian plan prices and restrictions should be checked on the current signup flow or official help pages.
- Paramount+: Verify Canadian rights separately for Paramount, Showtime, CBS, Nickelodeon, MTV, Comedy Central and franchise programming.
- Prime Video: A title appearing in Prime Video search results is not necessarily included with a Prime membership. Mark every entry as Included with Prime, channel required, rent or buy.
What counts as “new”
A reliable weekly guide must distinguish between:
- a complete season released at once;
- a new series or season premiere;
- another episode in an ongoing weekly release;
- a finale or special;
- a catalogue film or documentary newly licensed in Canada; and
- a film available digitally but only as a rental or purchase.
Late-night releases can also create date confusion. A title may appear late on August 31 in one time zone and be listed as September 1 in Canada. The Canadian listing should control the date shown in the guide.

Canadian subscription and bundle context
Prices change, so the following figures are dated signals rather than permanent rates. They are in Canadian dollars before tax and should be rechecked before publication.
| Service | Canadian price signal | Important qualification |
|---|---|---|
| Apple TV | $14.99/month; seven-day trial shown | Apple Originals are included; rentals, purchases and third-party channels are separate. |
| Crave | $11.99/month with ads; $22/month Premium | Access and features can differ by billing route or bundle. |
| Disney+ | $8.99/month with ads; $15.99 Standard; $16.99 Premium | Annual plans, downloads, resolution and concurrent streams vary by tier. |
| Paramount+ | Plans from $8.99/month; Premium listed at $13.99/month | Premium includes Showtime content and downloads, subject to plan exceptions. |
| Netflix | Verify current Canadian pricing | Do not import U.S. tiers or prices. |
| Prime Video | Verify membership and title-level access | Included titles, channels, rentals and purchases appear together in the app. |
For viewers considering two services, Disney’s Canadian site lists Disney+ and Crave bundles at $15.75/month with ads and $29.25/month for Premium. It also lists Disney+, Crave and TSN bundles from $31.99 to $41.75/month, depending on the tier. Bell lists additional Crave bundles involving Netflix and Disney+. Offers and regular prices can change without notice; compare the current terms before choosing an annual plan or a temporary subscription.

How to decide whether to subscribe
- Start with the exact title. Confirm that it is available in Canada during the relevant week.
- Check the access label. A Prime Video or Apple TV search result may represent a rental, purchase or add-on channel rather than included streaming.
- Check the release pattern. A weekly episode may not justify a full month unless the service has other programming you want to watch.
- Compare bundles. A Canadian Disney+/Crave bundle may cost less than separate subscriptions, but only if its included tiers match your needs.
- Watch the renewal terms. A free trial or monthly subscription can renew automatically; annual plans may not offer the same cancellation flexibility.
Bottom line for this week
The strongest accurate answer is that a complete September 1–7, 2026 Canadian title list requires title-by-title verification from Apple TV, Crave, Disney+, Netflix, Paramount+ and Prime Video. The available evidence does not support presenting the 2025 lineup as 2026 releases. Canadian viewers should use the services’ current Canadian listings, pay particular attention to Prime Video’s rental and channel labels, and treat advertised prices and bundles as time-sensitive.
For reference, Apple’s Canadian service information is available at tv.apple.com/ca, Disney+ plans and bundles at DisneyPlus.com/en-ca, Paramount+ plans at ParamountPlus.com/ca, and Bell’s Crave information at Bell.ca/streaming.
