Spielberg’s first Grammy came as one of the film’s credited video producers—not as its composer or sole recipient.
What did Spielberg win at the 2026 Grammys?
Music By John Williams won Best Music Film at the 68th Annual Grammy Awards, held on February 1, 2026. The Recording Academy’s official category results name John Williams as the artist, Laurent Bouzereau as video director, and Spielberg among the video producers.
Why did this complete Spielberg’s EGOT?
The Associated Press reported that the Grammy made Spielberg the newest member of the EGOT club—the group of people who have won an Emmy, Grammy, Oscar, and Tony—and described him as its 22nd member. The Recording Academy artist profile lists one win and one nomination, identifying the Best Music Film award for Music By John Williams as his Grammy win.
What was Spielberg’s Grammy role?
Spielberg shared the Best Music Film award as a credited video producer. The award is associated with John Williams as the artist, and the official result also credits Bouzereau as video director. It is therefore accurate to say Spielberg won his first Grammy for producing the film, not that he won as its composer or received the award alone.
