Sprint’s free Hulu benefit was a historical promotion, not a verified current offer. Announced on November 15, 2017, it gave new and existing Sprint Unlimited Freedom customers access to Hulu’s Limited Commercials on-demand plan starting November 17, at no extra charge. It did not include Hulu + Live TV.
What Sprint announced
Sprint and Hulu announced the bundle on November 15, 2017. The stated start date was November 17, when new and existing customers on Sprint Unlimited Freedom could access Hulu Limited Commercials without an increase to the Sprint plan price, according to TechCrunch’s contemporaneous report. MacRumors also reported the inclusion and start date.

Hulu Limited Commercials was the on-demand service, offering television shows, movies and Hulu original programming. The “free” description meant no additional charge for the benefit with an eligible Unlimited Freedom plan; it did not mean Hulu was a separate, unrestricted subscription available to anyone.
Which Hulu plan was included?
The announced benefit was Hulu Limited Commercials, not Hulu + Live TV. Sprint expected to offer an option to upgrade to Hulu’s live-TV service, but the 2017 report did not provide definitive upgrade details. The live-TV service should therefore not be treated as part of the included benefit.

What the plan cost at the time

| Hulu benefit | Hulu Limited Commercials, included at no extra charge to eligible plan customers beginning November 17, 2017. |
| Price through January 31, 2019 | $25 per month per line, as reported by TechCrunch for that period. |
| Later reported pricing | After January 31, 2019: $60 per month for one line, $40 for the second line, and $30 per month for each of lines three through five, as reported by TechCrunch. |

Does the offer still apply to a legacy Sprint account?
The 2017 announcement does not establish whether someone with a grandfathered Unlimited Freedom account—or an account now billed by T-Mobile—still qualifies for Hulu. Eligibility may depend on current account and plan terms. Check the benefits shown in your account or ask carrier support; the historical announcement alone cannot confirm an individual account’s status.
