The strongest current combination is attached to Experience Beyond and Go5G Next plans. Eligible customers generally receive Netflix Standard with ads and Hulu With Ads after completing activation.
That “free” benefit means no separate charge for the included subscription tiers while the qualifying T-Mobile service remains active and in good standing. It does not mean the wireless plan itself is free, and upgrading either service can create an additional charge.
Which T-Mobile plans include Netflix and Hulu?
The two benefits do not have identical eligibility rules. Netflix is available on more T-Mobile plan configurations than Hulu, so having Netflix included does not automatically mean that Hulu is included too.

Military, 55+, and First Responder versions of qualifying plans may also receive the applicable benefits. Because T-Mobile can change plan features and eligibility, the most reliable check is the benefit shown in the customer’s My T-Mobile account or T-Life app—not the plan name alone.

What “free Netflix and Hulu” actually includes
The included tiers are ad-supported. T-Mobile’s advertised Netflix benefit is Netflix Standard with ads, while the Hulu benefit is Hulu With Ads. These are not the ad-free Netflix Standard or Premium tiers, and they are not an ad-free Hulu subscription.
Eligible customers can usually upgrade Netflix through T-Mobile billing, but the upgrade costs extra. The same principle applies to Hulu: changing the Hulu plan after redeeming the offer can end the complimentary benefit and make the customer responsible for the resulting subscription charges.
The value is conditional rather than a cash rebate. A customer saves the most only if they would otherwise pay for the same Netflix and Hulu tiers. The wireless bill, taxes, fees, device payments, and other account charges still apply.
How to activate Netflix through T-Mobile
- Sign in to My T-Mobile. Use the account associated with the eligible wireless plan.
- Open the account management area and look for the services or add-ons section.
- Select Netflix and follow the activation prompts.
- Create or link a Netflix account. New subscribers can create an account during activation. Existing subscribers can link the Netflix account they already use.
- Confirm the billing arrangement. Make sure the account shows the included Netflix tier rather than a separate subscription charge or an unintended upgrade.
Existing Netflix subscribers may continue seeing a separate Netflix charge for one or two Netflix billing cycles while billing transfers to T-Mobile. That does not necessarily mean activation failed, but the account should be checked after the transfer period.
If the qualifying T-Mobile line is later canceled or changed, Netflix may resume charging the payment method that was previously on file. Leaving T-Mobile does not necessarily cancel the Netflix membership automatically, so check Netflix’s billing settings after changing service.

How to activate Hulu With Ads
T-Mobile’s current activation route is through the T-Life app:
- Open T-Life.
- Tap Manage.
- Select See plans.
- Choose Manage add-ons.
- Select Hulu ON US.
- Tap Continue.
- Link an existing Hulu account or create a new one when prompted.
The Hulu benefit can also appear through T-Mobile’s streaming-benefits pages. The complimentary period starts when the Hulu account is successfully activated, not simply when the customer buys or changes to an eligible T-Mobile plan. T-Mobile says the offer is available to new and returning Hulu subscribers, with one Hulu offer available per eligible account.
Already paying for Hulu? Do not cancel at random
Customers who subscribe to Hulu directly or through another billing provider generally need to cancel that subscription and wait until the current billing period ends before redeeming Hulu ON US. Redeeming the T-Mobile benefit while another Hulu subscription is still active may not transfer the existing billing arrangement.

- Who currently bills the Hulu subscription—Hulu, a mobile provider, an app store, or another partner.
- The next billing date.
- Whether an existing discount or free trial would be forfeited.
- Whether the Hulu account is the one the household wants to keep.
Wait for the paid period to end, then redeem Hulu ON US through T-Life. After activation, verify that the account shows the included Hulu tier and that no duplicate subscription remains.

Can you use the included services on a TV?
Yes. These are streaming-service account benefits, not phone-only features. Netflix supports compatible smart TVs, Roku devices, Amazon Fire TV devices, phones, tablets, computers, and game consoles. Hulu is likewise available across supported TV and streaming platforms.
You may already have everything needed if your television has current Netflix and Hulu apps, or if you watch through a phone, tablet, computer, or game console. The T-Mobile benefit does not require a special T-Mobile television device.

If an older television lacks the apps, has stopped receiving software updates, or has unreliable built-in streaming support, an optional Roku streaming stick can provide a separate interface for accessing Netflix and Hulu. Roku identifies both services as available streaming experiences, and Netflix lists Roku TV and Roku streaming devices among supported platforms.
A streaming stick is not required for the T-Mobile promotion and no particular model is universally necessary. Check the exact device’s current Netflix and Hulu compatibility, television requirements, HDMI availability, power requirements, and remote-control support before buying. An Amazon Fire TV Stick is another device category Netflix supports, but compatibility should be confirmed for the specific current model and Hulu application.

Activating the wrong account
When linking an existing Netflix or Hulu subscription, carefully confirm the email address and billing account. Linking a different account can leave the account you actually use on a separate paid subscription.
Canceling Hulu too early
Canceling before the paid billing period ends can waste remaining access and may eliminate promotional pricing. T-Mobile says it does not refund fees already paid and that prior discounts or trials may not return.
Forgetting that plan changes affect eligibility
The benefits depend on maintaining qualifying T-Mobile service. A plan change, line cancellation, account problem, or discontinued promotion can affect the entitlement. Recheck both services after changing the wireless account.
Confusing included value with cash savings
If you would never subscribe to Netflix or Hulu, the advertised retail value is not automatically money saved. The benefit is useful when it replaces subscriptions you would otherwise purchase, at tiers you are willing to use.
A practical activation checklist
- Confirm the exact T-Mobile plan and eligible line count.
- Check whether the account displays Netflix, Hulu, or both.
- Identify which email address is attached to each existing streaming account.
- For Netflix, allow one or two billing cycles for an existing account’s billing transfer.
- For Hulu, wait for any existing paid billing period to end before redeeming Hulu ON US.
- Do not upgrade Netflix or switch Hulu tiers until you understand the added charge and effect on the benefit.
- After activation, check the Netflix or Hulu account page for the current plan and billing source.
- After leaving or changing T-Mobile, verify whether either service has resumed direct billing.
How long will the offer last?
T-Mobile’s terms allow features and promotions to change or be discontinued. The Better Value plan is specifically described as limited-time, so it should not be treated as a permanent Netflix-and-Hulu guarantee. Even on an established qualifying plan, continued access depends on maintaining eligible service and following the streaming provider’s subscriber terms.
