What happens to Beru?
Beru is defeated, and Jinwoo turns him into a shadow. Crunchyroll’s official episode clip describes the moment directly: “Episode 25: Jinwoo turns Beru into a shadow!” That makes Beru a new member of Jinwoo’s shadow forces, rather than leaving their final fight as a simple defeat-and-retreat.
The episode’s official materials establish that outcome, but do not specify a ranking or exact power comparison for Beru among Jinwoo’s other shadows. The important change is that a formidable opponent from the raid becomes part of Jinwoo’s forces.

Does Jinwoo save Cha Hae-in?
Not through the Divine Elixir of Life. The official episode synopsis says the elixir does not work and Cha Hae-in is in critical condition. Jinwoo thinks of another way to help her, but the synopsis does not explain its mechanics or establish the outcome in further detail. The safe reading of the finale is that he is still trying to save her; the elixir has not solved the crisis.
How does the Jeju raid end?
The Hunters win the Fourth Jeju Island Raid, but the official account emphasizes the sacrifices involved. The victory resolves the immediate raid and Jinwoo’s confrontation with Beru, without turning the outcome into an uncomplicated triumph.

Episode 25 is titled “On to the Next Target.” Its official synopsis says Jinwoo has demonstrated his power and sets out seeking greater strength and another battle. That ending works as both payoff and transition: Jeju is behind him, but the story is moving forward.
What the finale leaves open

Which episode is the finale?
The official anime site lists “On to the Next Target” as episode 25 of Season 2. ORICON’s preview, published March 25, 2025, scheduled the Japanese broadcast for March 30 at 12:00 a.m. JST and noted later worldwide streaming; dates can differ by territory and service.
