Yes—Sling TV’s Day Pass is available in the U.S., but it is not new in 2026. Sling launched the passes on August 12, 2025. As of August 18, 2026, the 1 Day Pass costs $4.99 for 24 hours of Sling Orange; 3 days cost $9.99 and 7 days cost $14.99. The base pass includes sports channels such as ESPN, ESPN2, ESPN3, TNT and TBS, but it does not include every game or local broadcast channels. Sports Extra can be added to a 1 Day Pass for $1, making that combination $5.99 before any applicable taxes or fees. Check Sling’s current Day Pass details before buying.

The passes provide short-term access to Sling Orange, rather than the full Sling lineup. Prices below reflect Sling’s listed U.S. offers checked August 18, 2026. Add-on totals use Sling’s stated Sports Extra pricing; confirm the final checkout amount, since taxes, fees or package terms can change.

What channels and sports are included?
The base pass is a temporary Sling Orange subscription. Sling’s listed Orange lineup includes ESPN, ESPN2, ESPN3, TNT and TBS, along with channels such as CNN, AMC, A&E, Disney Channel, Comedy Central, History, HGTV and Food Network. Treat that as a current representative lineup, not a promise that channels or programming will never change. Check the included-channel list at purchase.

Those sports-oriented channels can make the pass useful for an event carried on ESPN, ESPN2, ESPN3, TNT or TBS. Sports Extra adds selected additional sports channels for the pass period; it is not a universal league package. A channel’s presence also does not guarantee that a particular game is available in your location or through Sling. Search for the exact matchup, event or league in Sling’s sports schedule before paying.
Most importantly, Sling Orange is not Sling Blue or Orange & Blue. The Day Pass does not automatically add local broadcast channels, regional sports networks, every sports service, or every event associated with a network. Sling’s launch announcement positioned the passes for occasions such as college football, professional sports, award shows and other live events; the event’s actual channel and rights are what matter.

How to check an event and buy without wasting time
- Look up the game or event’s channel and start time; use Sling’s schedule as a first check.
- Compare that channel with the Day Pass lineup. If it appears to require Sports Extra, check that add-on’s current channel list too.
- Check for a local broadcast, regional restriction, blackout, separate league service or pay-per-view requirement. Do not assume an add-on resolves a rights limitation.
- Go to Sling’s Day Pass page, sign in or create an account, select the 1-, 3- or 7-day option, and review the included channels and checkout total.
- Buy close to when you need access. The clock starts immediately after checkout—not when you first play a stream or when the game begins.
- After purchase, check your account for active access and keep the confirmation. The pass should expire automatically at the end of its selected period.
For example, buying a 1 Day Pass at 7 p.m. generally gives access until about 7 p.m. the next day, subject to Sling’s account and checkout terms. Buying hours earlier uses part of that window even if you have not started watching.

Important limits to know before paying
- No local channels in Orange: The base pass does not include local ABC, CBS, FOX or NBC affiliates. If a game is on a local broadcast network, check the broadcaster and local availability separately. A suitable antenna may receive an over-the-air broadcast where reception allows; see the FCC antenna guide.
- One stream on the 1 Day Pass: It is not a multi-screen household plan. Sling’s broader Orange stream rules also limit Orange programming to one device at a time. See Day Pass details and Sling’s multiple-stream guidance.
- No DVR upgrade or premium bundle: Sling says Total TV, the 4 Extras Deal, DVR upgrades and Premium subscriptions cannot be added to a pass. Eligible Extras—including Sports, News, Entertainment, Hollywood, Lifestyle, Heartland and Kids—may be available for the pass duration, subject to current terms.
- Pay-per-view costs extra: A PPV event is not included in the pass price, though it may be purchased separately where offered.
- Not cancellable or refundable as a subscription: The pass is a one-time purchase, cannot be paused or canceled, and Sling says sales are generally final given the short duration. You do not need to cancel it to prevent renewal.
For use, you need a Sling account, internet access and a compatible streaming device, smart TV, phone, tablet or computer. Sling lists 3 Mbps as a minimum internet speed and recommends 25 Mbps for a good multiple-device experience, although a one-stream pass has its own stream limit. Is it worth it compared with a monthly plan?
The right comparison depends on how many days you will watch and whether the pass actually carries the event. A $4.99 pass can be economical for one event day. A 3 Day Pass at $9.99 costs less than buying three separate 1 Day Passes, and the $14.99 7 Day Pass is cheaper than seven one-day purchases. Add the applicable Sports Extra price if the event needs it.
For scattered games across a month, repeated passes can add up. Compare their total with the current monthly plan that carries your required channels, including any add-ons and local-channel needs; do not assume a fixed break-even point, since plan prices, promotions, taxes and availability can change. A monthly service may suit regular viewing better, while a pass avoids a recurring subscription when you only need a short window.

- One ESPN game or a single Orange-channel event: The 1 Day Pass may fit if Sling’s schedule confirms the event and you do not need local channels.
- A three-day tournament: Compare the $9.99 3 Day Pass with separate day purchases; include Sports Extra if needed.
- A week-long stretch: The 7 Day Pass may be more economical than buying daily passes, but confirm the full week’s events are carried.
- A local-network game or a household needing simultaneous screens: The Orange Day Pass is a poor fit; check broadcast availability and alternatives before purchase.
- Regular weekly viewing: Compare an ongoing live-TV plan or event-specific service, checking its current channel and event rights rather than assuming it covers the same lineup.
Sling Freestream is a separate free service, not a free trial and not a substitute for paid ESPN or TNT access. Sling says it does not offer a conventional free trial. After a Day Pass ends, Freestream remains available, but paid Orange channels do not continue. Depending on the event, an antenna, a league-specific service, a broadcaster’s own offering or a broader live-TV plan may be a better fit; each has different rights and coverage.
