Photos and posts from the day show him cheering with Biles’s family, then celebrating with her after the victory. The selection below follows the moments documented in published coverage; it is not a complete archive of every image from their trip.
Before the final: Owens heads to Paris
Owens traveled to Paris from Chicago Bears training camp to watch his wife compete. Teen Vogue reported that he shared an Instagram image while en route with the caption “Coming for you baby.” The same coverage described his custom Simone Biles T-shirt at the competition. Teen Vogue’s July 31, 2024 report also identifies Getty Images photographs from the event.
In the stands with Biles’s family
At the Artistic Gymnastics Women’s Team Final on July 30, Owens watched and cheered from the stands. Good Morning America identifies one photograph as Mike Blake/Reuters and describes a Getty Images photo of Owens looking on with Biles’s parents. Good Morning America’s photo coverage captures the family-support setting; NBC Olympics also highlighted Owens taking notes and cheering alongside Biles’s family during the U.S. team’s gold-medal performance. NBC Olympics’ family roundup describes that moment.
Biles told Good Morning America: “I think it’s super exciting that we get to be in each other’s elements and supporting each other’s dreams and goals, and yeah, it is these memories that we make that we’ll never get back.”

After the U.S. won gold: the couple’s photos
After the team final, Owens shared photos of himself and Biles celebrating, including a kiss photo; Teen Vogue also described a selfie posted to his Instagram stories and images of Biles with her medal. ABC News reported on Owens’s celebratory Paris post and credited the social images to the relevant Instagram accounts. ABC News’s report reproduces his caption from July 30, 2024: “Witnessing history every time you step on the mat 😍🔥,” he wrote. “Congrats baby on becoming the most decorated American gymnast in Olympic history!!!!” He continued: “Just wow!!!! 8 of them!!!!! So thankful i was there to see it ❤️🤍💙.”
The “eight” in that post refers to Biles’s Olympic medals as Owens described them on July 30, 2024. It is a historical detail from his caption, not a statement of her current career total. Teen Vogue also covered the post-win images and caption. Teen Vogue’s coverage reports that Owens shared two photos of the pair after the team gold.
