Three men filed anonymous civil lawsuits against Sean “Diddy” Combs in New York on December 12, 2024, alleging separate sexual assaults between 2019 and 2020. Combs’s lawyers denied the allegations. The complaints’ individual case outcomes are not established by the available reporting.
What the three lawsuits alleged
The Associated Press reported that the plaintiffs were identified as John Does, and that each complaint sought a jury trial and unspecified damages. The alleged incidents described in the complaints were separate:
A meeting at a Times Square hotel
A former employee alleged that Combs drugged and raped him in 2020 at the InterContinental hotel in Times Square. The plaintiff said the meeting concerned payments he believed were owed to him. The Associated Press reported the allegations from the complaint; they have not been established as facts by a court.
A 2019 Manhattan afterparty
A second man alleged that he was drugged and raped after meeting Combs at a Manhattan nightclub and attending an afterparty at the Park Hyatt. The complaint further claimed that a man recorded the assault and gave the plaintiff $2,500 afterward. Those details are allegations in the complaint, not independently established findings.

A party in East Hampton
A third man alleged that Combs and associates drugged and raped him at a summer 2020 party at Combs’s mansion in East Hampton.
What Combs’s lawyers said
Combs’s attorneys rejected the claims. In a statement quoted by the AP, they said, “These complaints are full of lies,” and said they would seek sanctions against the attorneys who filed what they described as fictional claims. That is the defense’s position, not a court ruling.

Why the allegations drew attention
ABC News reported that the three complaints alleged a similar pattern spanning 2019 to 2022, with locations including New York City hotels and East Hampton. The three suits covered in the December 12 reports are claims by three plaintiffs; they should not be confused with a finding that the alleged events occurred.
Thomas Giuffra, identified by ABC News as the plaintiffs’ attorney, said he had been contacted by more than 60 people and had chosen to file these three cases after vetting them. His account describes contacts he said he received; it is not an independently verified count of claimants or lawsuits. ABC News reported Giuffra’s comments.

What is known about the cases’ status
The December 2024 reports establish that the three complaints were filed and describe their allegations and the defense response. They do not establish what happened later in each case. A civil-case database accessed October 8, 2026, lists 113 sexual-assault and related civil cases filed since November 2023, but that broad tally does not verify the individual status or outcome of these three complaints. The database’s case listings are not a substitute for an individual court docket when confirming a motion, dismissal, settlement, or judgment.
The 2024 coverage also referred to separate federal criminal charges against Combs at that time. Those reports do not establish his current criminal-case status, and that separate proceeding is distinct from these three civil lawsuits.
