In October 2015, Sean Combs was reported to be developing an ABC comedy with the working title The Hustle, inspired by the experience of his longtime assistant, Sarah Snedeker. The reports describe a project in development—not a sitcom that had been produced or aired. Its eventual outcome is not established by the available reporting.
What was The Hustle about?
Contemporaneous coverage described a small-town woman who takes a job assisting a wealthy, street-educated business mogul and is introduced to a world of extravagance, debauchery and adventure. The premise was said to be inspired by Snedeker’s life as Combs’s assistant. That description concerns a proposed fictional character; it does not establish that the depicted events were literal biography.

Who was attached to the project?
TV Insider’s October 14, 2015 report named Jeremy Garelick as writer and director and Stacey Harman as a writer. Combs was attached as an executive producer, while Snedeker was to receive producer and consultant credits. ABC Studios was reported as producing the project. TV Insider’s report provided those details.
TV Series Finale’s October 16 report likewise identified Snedeker as a producer and consultant and described the project as a single-camera comedy in development at ABC. Its coverage corroborated the development status and commitment.

What did the reported commitment mean?
The October reports described a script order or script commitment with a penalty if the project did not move forward. That is evidence of a development-stage commitment, not confirmation that ABC ordered a pilot or a series. Television projects can pass through several distinct stages:
- Script commitment: the network or studio commissions development of a script, sometimes with a financial penalty if it does not proceed.
- Pilot order and production: a pilot may be ordered and filmed, but that still does not guarantee a series order.
- Series production and release: a series order, completed production and eventual release are separate outcomes.
The available reports establish the first stage for The Hustle; they do not establish the later stages.

Latin Post’s October 18, 2015 article reproduced text it attributed to a Combs Instagram announcement naming Snedeker, ABC, Garelick and Harman in connection with the comedy’s development. The announcement is described here as Latin Post reported it, rather than as an independently verified post. Latin Post’s account is the source for that detail.
The reports establish that The Hustle was in development in October 2015. They do not establish whether it was later produced, aired or formally canceled, so none of those outcomes can be stated as fact on this evidence.
