Yes. Paramount+ renewed the young-adult drama for a fourth season on March 24, 2026. The announcement came after the season 3 finale, and identifies Nate Trinrud and Megan Trinrud as the series creators and co-showrunners. Oliver Goldstick is returning as a consultant, and Peyton List is also an executive producer. Paramount+’s renewal announcement attributed a “100% Tomatometer rating” to Rotten Tomatoes; that is the platform’s reported figure, not an independently checked current score.

When will season 4 premiere, and is it filming?
Paramount+ said production began in August 2026 and was underway when it published its guide on September 22. The platform had not announced a premiere date or episode count as of that guide. Paramount+ has not disclosed a season 4 plot synopsis. Its guide points instead to unresolved developments from the season 3 finale. The ghosts’ doors, once thought to lead to the afterlife, opened onto a liminal forest realm with unknown rules. The finale also raised questions about ghosts moving beyond Split River High, Quinn and Rhonda briefly becoming visible and audible to living students, and Alfred Van Heidt inhabiting Maddie’s mother. These are open story threads, not confirmation of season 4’s plot or how it will resolve them.

What did Kristian Ventura say about the show having more story?
In a TechRadar interview published March 1, 2026, Kristian Ventura, who plays Simon Elroy, said the writers had “just about explored what we wanted to” but that there was “definitely a little bit more to tap into.” He also said, “I think the show’s gonna run, and I hope it does.” Those comments came before the season 3 finale and before the renewal. Ventura’s optimism was not confirmation of an order; Paramount+ announced season 4 later, on March 24.

Paramount+ says seasons 1–3 are available to stream on its service. Its renewal announcement names the US, Canada, UK, Australia, Latin America and Brazil among the territories where the series is available; availability can vary elsewhere. The official series listing describes the show as following Maddie, a teenage girl stuck in the afterlife while investigating her disappearance, and lists three seasons and 24 episodes. As context for the show’s earlier performance, Paramount+ said in its March 19, 2025 season 3 renewal announcement that season 2 averaged 3.9 million viewers in its first 28 days and was up 94% from the season 1 premiere. Those are Paramount’s figures for that specified period—not viewership figures for seasons 3 or 4. The season 3 renewal release gives the platform’s account.
