Samsung released “Open Always Wins,” a Galaxy brand anthem made with TOMORROW X TOGETHER (TXT), on July 17, 2024. The alternative-rock track and its music video were part of Samsung’s campaign for the Paris 2024 Olympic and Paralympic Games—not a new TXT album release or a Galaxy product launch.
What Samsung and TXT released
Samsung described “Open Always Wins” as a Galaxy brand anthem. It paired an energetic guitar-led alternative-rock sound with the campaign’s theme of openness: meeting challenges with an open mind and finding new possibilities. Samsung’s announcement said the song was scheduled to launch at 1 p.m. Korea Standard Time on July 17, 2024.
The collaboration involved all five TXT members—Soobin, Yeonjun, Beomgyu, Taehyun and Hueningkai—but Samsung specifically named Soobin, Yeonjun, Taehyun and Hueningkai as participants in writing the lyrics. The announcement does not credit Beomgyu with lyric-writing participation, so it would be inaccurate to say that all five co-wrote the lyrics.
A campaign song, not a Games theme
The release belonged to Samsung’s wider “Open always wins” campaign for the Paris 2024 Olympic and Paralympic Games. Samsung launched that campaign on April 30, 2024, before the TXT anthem followed in July. The campaign used athlete stories to express the idea that openness can create fresh perspectives and possibilities; its featured Team Samsung Galaxy athletes included French skateboarder Aurélien Giraud, German Paralympic sprinter Johannes Floors and French breakdancer Sarah Bee. Samsung’s campaign announcement provides that broader context.

Samsung’s U.S. coverage also situated the music video in the Galaxy Unpacked and Galaxy Z Flip6 promotional period. That is campaign and brand context: “Open Always Wins” was not a device feature, bundled service or official Olympic theme song. Samsung’s U.S. newsroom report describes the video and its Paris 2024 setting.
What’s in the video—and the fan challenge
The video moves between TXT preparing for and performing music and footage of Team Samsung Galaxy athletes. Sporting and training imagery connects the anthem’s message about effort and challenges to the campaign’s athletic focus. Samsung also announced an “Open Always Wins” dance challenge alongside the song and video, inviting fans to take part and show support for athletes.

Where to listen and watch
At release, Samsung listed YouTube Music, Spotify, Melon, Genie, Bugs, FLO and VIBE as places to find the single, and said the accompanying video was available on its official YouTube channel. Availability can vary by country and may change over time, so the original platform list should not be read as a guarantee that every service currently carries the track everywhere.

Samsung’s regional newsroom pages use different publication dates—its U.S. page is dated July 16, while its main announcement gives July 17 as the launch date. The clearest event date is July 17, 2024; this was a 2024 campaign release, not a new 2026 announcement.
