Doctor Odyssey takes its medical emergencies to sea: Joshua Jackson stars as the new doctor aboard a luxury cruise ship, where a small medical team must handle crises far from shore. ABC’s September 2024 trailer introduced the series’ mix of shipboard medicine and romance; the show’s announced premiere dates are now historical.
What is Doctor Odyssey about?
ABC describes the series as a procedural centered on Max, the new onboard doctor for a luxury cruise ship. He and the ship’s small medical team face medical emergencies and interpersonal complications while they are far from shore. The setting gives the familiar medical-drama setup an unusual constraint: help is needed, but the team is at sea.
