Yes. The Rick and Morty Butter Bot Kickstarter passed its $400,000 stretch goal in December 2024, unlocking Bluetooth phone connectivity. CircuitMess says the feature works with iOS and Android; the campaign ultimately raised $441,349. That figure is crowdfunding pledges, not investment. The product is still listed for preorder, but its official pages show conflicting 2026 shipping estimates that are already past as of August 18, 2026.
What the $400,000 milestone unlocked
The phone connection is Bluetooth integration with a nearby mobile device, not cellular service built into the robot. According to CircuitMess, a paired iPhone or Android phone can provide spoken push notifications, battery-status updates and music playback controls such as play, pause and skip. The company also describes voice-command interaction with these functions.
That does not mean Butter Bot can make calls, send messages, browse the internet or replace Siri or Google Assistant. CircuitMess’s published feature list describes a set of phone-linked functions, not unrestricted access to a phone.
A programmable character gadget, not just a display figure
Butter Bot is a palm-sized, preassembled robot inspired by the character from Rick and Morty. CircuitMess markets it as both an interactive licensed gadget and a STEM/maker device. Its advertised features include voice interaction and synthesis, camera-based face recognition, autonomous movement, a live first-person video feed, and physical remote control. The company also lists coding through CircuitBlocks, with C++ and firmware access for more advanced users.

The robot measures 11.5 × 5 × 4 cm (about 4.53 × 1.97 × 1.57 inches), according to its official product page. The robot has a built-in rechargeable battery charged over USB-C. Its separate controller has a display and live video feed and requires three AA alkaline batteries, which are not included.
Six expansion modules for experiments
The listed modular add-ons are a gas sensor, motion sensor, LED module, temperature-and-humidity sensor, infrared blaster and perfboard for custom electronics projects. They give the product a maker angle beyond its character design, although some experiments may involve coding or electronics work rather than simple plug-and-play use.

The camera, recognition and autonomy features are product claims; the available specifications do not establish real-world recognition accuracy, operating range, battery life, latency, durability or how much functionality works offline. Buyers should also consider whether they are comfortable having a camera-equipped device in their home.

From stretch goal to current preorder
The $400,000 mark was a stretch goal, separate from the campaign’s original funding target. Contemporary coverage reported that the campaign had crossed the milestone by December 3, 2024, unlocking the phone-connection feature. CircuitMess’s product page now reports a final Kickstarter total of $441,349. These are campaign pledges, not venture-capital financing or proof that every reward has shipped.

The campaign’s reported entry tier started at $139, but that was a 2024 Kickstarter price, not a current retail offer. CircuitMess currently presents Butter Bot as a preorder on its storefront.
Check delivery timing before ordering
The delivery information on CircuitMess’s pages needs clarification. The main product page shows estimated shipping in April 2026, while a regional bundle page shows July 2026. Both dates had passed by August 18, 2026. They may refer to different regions, batches or customer groups, but the pages do not resolve that difference. Do not treat either date as a current promise for a new order—or assume it confirms the status of Kickstarter backer rewards.

Before paying, ask CircuitMess to confirm the shipping estimate for your country and whether it applies to new preorders or a particular fulfillment batch. Check applicable shipping charges, taxes, customs duties, warranty and return terms at checkout. A regional page’s price or shipping offer may not apply in another market.

Its guidance also notes that additional shipping costs can arise. For an existing pledge, distinguish the campaign reward and its fulfillment queue from a new storefront preorder; if you receive tracking information, confirm that the parcel has actually been handed to the carrier.

Who is Butter Bot for?
It may suit Rick and Morty fans who want an interactive collectible, or learners and makers drawn to a preassembled robot they can control, program and modify. The Bluetooth feature adds modest convenience, but the broader appeal is the combination of character design, movement, camera, controller and modular hardware.
It is a less obvious fit if you want a simple toy with no setup, a mature general-purpose phone assistant, industrial-grade autonomy or a product that is confirmed in stock for immediate delivery. The published material does not establish the underlying AI model, whether cloud services are required, or how long software support will continue. Treat those as questions for the seller rather than assumptions.
