A report published October 5, 2026 says Prince Harry is pushing for Amazon to sponsor the Invictus Games, with a possible Prime Video role and a Princess Diana documentary raised as potential outcomes. None of those arrangements is confirmed by the official Invictus, Birmingham 2027 or Netflix sources reviewed. The report’s page was not accessible; its search-result snippet characterized Prime Video’s involvement as something that “could also” happen, so the streaming angle should be treated as speculation, not a deal.
What the report claims—and what is confirmed
The Sunday Guardian report’s headline links a possible Amazon sponsorship to the prospect of a Princess Diana documentary. Its accessible search snippet also suggests Prime Video could become the Games’ official streaming partner. The report itself could not be read, and the official sources reviewed do not confirm an Amazon sponsorship, streaming-rights agreement, financial commitment or Amazon-backed Diana documentary. That does not establish whether private discussions are taking place; it means the arrangements have not been publicly verified in those sources.
These are three distinct possibilities, not interchangeable parts of a confirmed package: an event sponsorship, a live-streaming or broadcast agreement, and a separately commissioned documentary. No terms—such as the contracting organization, scope, geography or duration—are available for any proposed Amazon arrangement.
What the Invictus Games are
The Invictus Games Foundation says it governs delivery of the Games and supports recovery and rehabilitation for wounded, injured and sick service personnel and veterans through sport. It describes the Duke of Sussex as the Games’ founder and the Foundation’s patron. Its current summary also says it delivered its first Winter Hybrid Invictus Games in Vancouver Whistler in 2025. #1 Best Overall
- BUILT FOR THE GYM-AND-TRAVEL ROTATION: A roomy main compartment holds a full load — cleats, training apparel, a change of clothes, a foam roller, post-workout shoes — for gym workouts, training sessions, weekend trips, athletic team travel and weekday athletic rotation. Size medium in the Defender 5 family (Small / Medium / Large) for athletes, students and active adults who carry a lot.
- AIRS OUT WET CLEATS AND GEAR: A dedicated zippered shoe compartment with ventilation keeps cleats, sneakers and sweaty post-workout footwear separated from clean clothes and tech, airing out odor on the ride home. Built for daily gym rotation, weekend tournament travel, baseball and softball travel team weekends, hockey gear haul, soccer game day and overnight team stays.
- STAYS DRY ON WET FLOORS AND FIELDS: A water-resistant base helps keep contents dry on locker room floors, rainy parking lots and damp practice fields. Multiple webbing clip points let you attach keys, a 32 oz water bottle or a carabiner light for fast access between training sessions and travel days. Built for the wet-floor realities of the gym and tournament rotation.
- PADDED SHOULDER STRAP FOR HEAVIER LOADS: A padded shoulder strap helps ease heavier loads when the bag is full — walking commutes, locker-room hops, rideshare drops and gate-to-rideshare hauls. A feature of the Medium and Large Defender 5 sizes (the Small size doesn't have a padded strap). Multiple zippered pockets keep training essentials sorted across the rotation.
- BUILT TO LAST: Backed by the adidas Lifetime Warranty against material and workmanship defects for 5 years, the typical life of a well-used bag.
What the official Birmingham 2027 information shows
The official Birmingham 2027 press page includes dated partner and production announcements through September 2026. It names a host broadcaster and production partner for the opening and closing ceremonies, as well as other official partners. The entries reviewed do not name Amazon. That is a statement about the published page, not proof that no private talks or unannounced proposals exist. Birmingham 2027 press page
How Netflix fits into the story
There is an established media relationship involving Harry and Meghan’s Archewell Productions, but it is with Netflix—not evidence of an Amazon agreement. On August 11, 2025, Netflix announced a multi-year, first-look deal for Archewell film and television projects. Netflix said its collaboration with Archewell began in 2020 and listed Heart of Invictus, Harry & Meghan, Live to Lead, Polo and With Love, Meghan among released projects. A first-look arrangement concerning Archewell projects does not, by itself, rule out other future partnerships. Netflix’s 2025 announcement

The Foundation describes Heart of Invictus as a partnership among Netflix, Archewell Productions and the Foundation. It says the Duke and Archewell redirect compensation they would otherwise receive for that project to the Foundation. The series is relevant precedent for filmed coverage connected to Invictus, but it does not confirm future Prime Video rights or a Diana film. What would count as confirmation
A meaningful update would identify who is making the agreement and what it covers. An event sponsor does not automatically receive streaming rights, and either arrangement would be separate from a documentary commission. Any future announcement should be checked for:

- BUILT TO HAUL THE FULL TEAM GEAR: A spacious main compartment comfortably carries full hockey gear, an extended team trip wardrobe, baseball and softball tournament gear or a multi-day camping load. Size large in the Defender 5 family (Small / Medium / Large) for athletes, parents and coaches who carry it all. Built for travel teams, tournament weekends and multi-day getaways.
- PADDED SHOULDER STRAP FOR HEAVIER LOADS: A padded shoulder strap helps ease heavier loads through walking commutes, locker-room hops, rideshare drops and gate-to-rideshare hauls. A feature of the Medium and Large Defender 5 sizes (the Small size doesn't have a padded strap) — built for the haul that the rotation actually demands across travel team weekends, hockey gear haul and tournament rotation.
- AIRS OUT WET CLEATS AND GEAR: A dedicated zippered gear pocket with ventilation airs out cleats, hockey skates, sweaty practice jerseys and post-game shoes on the ride home, keeping odor away from clean clothes and tech. - BUILT TO LAST: Backed by the adidas Lifetime Warranty against material and workmanship defects for 5 years, the typical life of a well-used bag.
- Contracting parties: whether the agreement is with the Invictus Games Foundation, Birmingham 2027 organizers, Archewell Productions or another entity.
- Scope: whether it concerns event sponsorship, live coverage, a standalone documentary, or more than one of these.
- Rights and reach: any stated platform, territory and term for broadcast or streaming.
- Public confirmation: an announcement from the parties involved, rather than a report describing a possibility.
Is a Princess Diana documentary part of the deal?
No official source reviewed confirms an Amazon-backed documentary about Princess Diana. The Diana angle appears as a possible consequence in the report’s headline; without a confirmed commission, there is no verified project, production team, release plan or platform to describe.
