What was reported about Harry and William’s plans?
PEOPLE reported on February 6, 2024, that an unnamed royal source said there were “no plans” for Harry and William to get together during Harry’s visit. Neither brother was quoted directly confirming whether a meeting would happen. The report described plans at that time; it does not establish a lasting decision about their relationship. What was happening during Harry’s February 2024 visit?
According to PEOPLE, Harry travelled from California to the UK and met King Charles in London after the king’s cancer diagnosis was announced. The report said William had family responsibilities while Catherine, Princess of Wales, recovered from abdominal surgery, and was scheduled to resume public duties the next day. These details were the contemporary context reported by PEOPLE, not explanations confirmed by either brother.
PEOPLE also mentioned Harry’s memoir, Spare, as background to the family rift. That context does not establish why the brothers did not plan to meet during this particular visit.

Does later reporting change what happened in 2024?
No. A June 17, 2026 report by ¡HOLA! concerned a separate, then-expected July 2026 UK trip. It attributed the statement that no meeting with William was planned to a HELLO! representative speaking to Us Weekly. The representative was not named. This later report does not revise the account of the February 2024 visit, and it does not confirm whether the expected 2026 trip or any meeting subsequently took place. ¡HOLA!’s June 2026 report.

The February 2024 report did not provide a direct explanation from Harry or William. It described William’s family and public commitments, but readers should not treat those circumstances as a confirmed reason for the reported no-meeting plans. The most precise answer is that PEOPLE’s unnamed source said no meeting was planned at that time.
