Polaroid’s 2026 Pokémon collection includes three limited-edition instant cameras, but only one features Pikachu. The other designs are a Poké Ball and Sylveon. The Pikachu model is the Polaroid Go Generation 3 Pokémon Pikachu Edition; it uses Polaroid Go film, sold separately.
Three camera designs, one Pikachu
Polaroid announced the collection on August 18, 2026, as part of Pokémon’s 30th-anniversary year. The lineup pairs three character designs with two camera formats:
| Design | Camera | Film format | Announced US camera price |
|---|---|---|---|
| Poké Ball | Polaroid Now Generation 3 Pokémon Edition | i-Type | $139.99 |
| Pikachu | Polaroid Go Generation 3 Pokémon Pikachu Edition | Polaroid Go | $99.99 |
| Sylveon | Polaroid Go Generation 3 Pokémon Sylveon Edition | Polaroid Go | $99.99 |
The Go cameras are the smaller-format options and use Polaroid Go film. The Now uses full-size i-Type film. Choose by camera format as well as character design: the film formats are distinct and not interchangeable.
Film, prices, and accessories
Polaroid’s announced US prices were $22.99 for Pokémon i-Type film and $24.99 for each themed Polaroid Go film double pack—one Pikachu design and one Sylveon design. NBC reported that film is not included with the cameras, so buyers need to purchase compatible film separately.

In its October 5, 2026 article, NBC reported that the cameras were out of stock at Polaroid and Pokémon Center at that time, while Best Buy had stock. That is a dated snapshot, not a current inventory check; availability may have changed since then.

Polaroid described the collection as available in limited quantities, but did not publish a production-run count. DPReview likewise noted that the number of units was unspecified. The announcement therefore establishes limited availability as the company’s description, not a particular edition size or a measurable level of scarcity.
