NBCUniversal described Ted as Peacock’s record-breaking most-watched original series, meaning the ranking was within Peacock’s own original programming—not across every streaming service. The announcement also said, citing Nielsen, that it was the number-one original streaming comedy in the United States for more than two consecutive months. That is a U.S. comedy-category ranking, not a broader all-platform ranking. Read NBCUniversal’s renewal announcement.
Is Ted season 2 available now?
Yes. NBCUniversal’s season-two guide says all eight episodes premiered on Peacock on March 5, 2026. Peacock is the season’s exclusive home, though the guide does not establish availability in every country or for every subscription arrangement. Check the local Peacock listing for current access in your territory.

What should viewers know about the audience figures?
The renewal announcement reported a 90% Rotten Tomatoes audience score for season one as of May 9, 2024. That is a dated figure reported by NBCUniversal, not a current live score.
NBCUniversal did not provide a standalone audience total or hours-viewed figure in the cited announcement. Its “most-watched original” description therefore should not be converted into a specific number of viewers or treated as an independent comparison with other platforms.

NBCUniversal’s season-two guide names Seth MacFarlane, Max Burkholder, Alanna Ubach, Scott Grimes, and Giorgia Whigham among the core cast. The series continues the story of teenage John Bennett and his talking teddy bear before the events of the films.
