Crashes, No Sound, or Screen Glitches?
Random freezes, missing sound and display glitches usually trace back to one bad driver. Find and replace yours safely.Free scan · under a minuteWindows Errors? Fix Them Before They Spread
Repair common Windows errors and clear accumulated junk for a smoother, more stable PC - no reinstall needed.Free scan · no reinstallFor a mostly still meditation visual, start with OBS using H.264, CBR, RTMPS, a two-second keyframe interval, and a bitrate your upload connection can sustain. At 1080p30, YouTube lists 5 Mbps as the minimum and 14 Mbps as recommended; at 720p30, it lists 3 Mbps minimum and 8 Mbps recommended. Those are YouTube platform recommendations, not a guarantee of uninterrupted broadcasting. Before scheduling a continuous stream, confirm that you have rights to the specific Indian classical recording and composition for live use and any archive.
Recommended OBS settings for a meditation stream
YouTube’s encoding guidance, verified in 2026, recommends H.264, constant bitrate (CBR), RTMPS, and a two-second keyframe interval, with keyframes no more than four seconds apart. These settings suit a largely static meditation scene; the bitrate still needs to fit the upload connection you can reliably maintain.
| Setting | Starting point | Important qualification |
|---|---|---|
| Video codec | H.264 | YouTube also supports H.265 and AV1 ingest; use a codec compatible with your OBS output and YouTube workflow. |
| Rate control | CBR | Recommended by YouTube for live encoding. |
| Keyframe interval | 2 seconds | YouTube says not to exceed 4 seconds. |
| Ingestion protocol | RTMPS | YouTube recommends it; it encrypts stream data in transit to Google’s servers. |
| Audio | AAC or MP3; 128 kbps stereo and 44.1 kHz stereo | YouTube’s general advanced guidance lists these audio values. Check the OBS output and the YouTube preview. |
For H.264 at 30 fps, YouTube’s bitrate guidance gives these two useful choices:
| Output | YouTube-listed minimum | YouTube-listed recommended bitrate | When to consider it |
|---|---|---|---|
| 720p30 | 3 Mbps | 8 Mbps | A sensible lower-bandwidth choice when the visual is simple and a stable upload is more important than extra detail. |
| 1080p30 | 5 Mbps | 14 Mbps | Choose when you need more visual detail and have reliable upload headroom. |
The listed rates are platform guidance, not a requirement to push the highest number. A mostly static picture may not need 1080p, and a bitrate that fluctuates beyond your available upload capacity can undermine stream health. Test the actual scene, audio and network conditions rather than assuming the connection’s advertised speed is available continuously.

- Compact & Travel-Friendly: The ultra-compact design allows the adapter to stay plugged into your device without blocking adjacent ports or adding bulk, reducing wear and tear on your original USB ports.
- 12-Month Warranty: Backed by a 12-month manufacturer warranty for peace of mind. Designed to meet strict quality control standards for reliable everyday performance.
Set up and test OBS before going live
- Prepare a rights-cleared source and visual. Add the meditation visual and the audio recording you are authorized to use. Check that the music plays at the intended level and that the visual behaves as expected.
- Set OBS output to match YouTube’s target. Choose H.264, CBR, a two-second keyframe interval, and the bitrate appropriate to your selected resolution and frame rate. Configure stereo audio to the YouTube guidance above.
- Connect OBS to YouTube. Use OBS’s YouTube integration, or configure the service and stream details from YouTube Studio. Keep the stream key private; anyone who obtains it may be able to broadcast to your channel.
- Run a controlled test. Start with a private or otherwise controlled event. Check picture, audio, synchronization and YouTube’s stream-health messages before relying on the setup for a long session.
- Adjust based on the test. If the connection cannot sustain the chosen ingestion bitrate, lower it and test again. If the stream reports problems, do not treat a successful brief test as proof of uninterrupted 24/7 operation.
YouTube’s available OBS Project walkthrough dates to 2015, so its interface-specific instructions may not match current versions of OBS or YouTube Studio. Follow the current controls in the applications rather than relying on an old screenshot or label.
Clear the music rights before scheduling the stream
Encoder settings cannot make a track legal to broadcast. YouTube’s livestream terms require the provider to have the necessary rights for live content and archives, including music licensing rights from artists, record labels, publishers and other participants. A composition and a particular recording can have different rights, so verify the exact performance and recording you plan to use.

- Confirm the license covers continuous live streaming, the territories where viewers may watch, archive or video-on-demand playback, and monetization if you intend to monetize.
- Ask whether the rights holder can add your channel to its Content ID allowlist. YouTube warns that a licensed third-party track may still be interrupted if the channel is not allowlisted.
- Do not assume an old composition makes a modern recording free to use. The recording itself may be protected.
- A “free” label or attribution in the description does not by itself prevent a Content ID claim.
- YouTube identifies public-domain music and music used with permission as copyright-safe options, and points creators to its Audio Library and, in certain regions, Creator Music. Check the specific terms before using a track.
YouTube scans live streams for third-party content. It may show a placeholder, interrupt, or terminate a stream if protected material continues; an archive may also receive a Content ID claim after the broadcast. No particular Indian classical catalog is established here as cleared for worldwide continuous live use, so assess each track’s license directly.
Why OBS settings cannot guarantee 24/7 uptime
OBS settings govern encoding and sending the stream; they do not ensure that the computer, power, internet connection or YouTube ingest will stay available around the clock. YouTube’s published codec and bitrate guidance is not an end-to-end resilience recipe. For a do-it-yourself setup, plan for the possibility of a local outage, a dropped connection or a stream interruption, and check the stream after starting it.
