Niall Horan has publicly described Amelia Woolley as his girlfriend and shared how they met: at a dinner party, where a mutual friend brought her along. Their relationship is reported to date to 2020, and Horan has said it has influenced his music. Beyond those comments and reported public appearances, the couple has kept much of their relationship out of the public eye.
Who is Niall Horan’s girlfriend?
Horan has spoken about Amelia Woolley as his girlfriend. In a June 2026 Vogue interview, he described sharing new songs with her and listening to her feedback. Vogue quoted him saying: “She’ll give me constructive criticism, or she’ll tell me if she likes it or tell me if she doesn’t like it.”
The public record here comes chiefly from Horan’s interviews and media reports about appearances; it does not provide a complete account of their private life. No statement from Woolley was among the sources reviewed.
How did Niall Horan and Amelia Woolley meet?
Horan told Capital Breakfast in March 2026 that they met at a dinner party through a mutual friend. He described Woolley as “a late addition through a mutual friend” and said they started talking when she arrived.

He connected that evening to “Dinner Party,” a song on his 2026 album of the same name. In the Capital interview, he reflected: “It’s become, you know, the next six years of my life and hopefully the rest of it.” That was an expression of his hopes at the time, not an announcement of marriage or a guarantee about the future.
How long have they been together?
Capital reports that their relationship dates to 2020. Horan’s reference in 2026 to “the next six years” is consistent with that reported timeline, but it does not establish an exact day or anniversary. The Irish Times described Woolley as Horan’s girlfriend of three years in 2023, also placing the relationship’s reported beginning around 2020.

The Show and “You Could Start a Cult”
