Most NFL Sunday Ticket season-pass purchases through YouTube TV are non-cancellable and nonrefundable for the current season. Turning off automatic renewal can stop a future-season charge, but it does not reverse a charge already made. Month-to-month customers can stop future billing, but YouTube says it does not refund the current billing period. If you were charged in error, did not authorize the purchase, or a paid feature did not work as described, contact the company that processed the payment and ask for a review.
First identify who billed you
The app you use to watch Sunday Ticket does not necessarily determine who handles a refund. Check the receipt, transaction description, and account’s billing settings to find the seller or billing provider.

For direct YouTube TV billing, its published policy makes the result depend on the purchase type and reason for the request:

Cancellation is not the same as a refund
A cancellation changes future access or billing; a refund request asks for an already completed charge to be reversed. A confirmation that renewal is off does not mean a refund was issued.
- Season Pass: You can generally turn off renewal for a future season. That does not refund the current season, and it does not necessarily remove current-season access.
- Month-to-month: Cancellation stops the next billing cycle. YouTube says access continues through the current cycle and that it does not offer refunds for this plan.
- Approved refund: Under YouTube TV’s general policy, access ends immediately if a refund is approved.

How to stop a future-season renewal
- Sign in with the Google account used to buy Sunday Ticket.
- Open YouTube TV and go to Settings, then the membership or billing area.
- Find NFL Sunday Ticket and choose the option to cancel or turn off automatic renewal.
- Confirm the change. Save the confirmation email or take a screenshot.
- Check the billing details at tv.youtube.com/settings/billing to confirm the renewal status.
Labels can change, so use YouTube’s renewal instructions if the menu differs. If a renewal charge has already completed, turning off renewal may prevent another charge but does not establish that the completed charge is refundable.
What to do about an unexpected charge
- Check the date and description. A YouTube purchase may appear as
GOOGLE*YouTube TVor a related Google or YouTube billing descriptor. Google lists examples in its unauthorized-charge guidance. - Check all household Google accounts. Confirm which account was billed and whether another account holder made the purchase.
- Identify the purchase type. Check whether it was a season-pass renewal, a monthly installment, or a standalone YouTube Primetime Channels purchase. Also check for a duplicate purchase through a second billing route.
- Stop future renewal if you no longer want the service and the renewal has not already taken place.
- Contact the billing provider and describe the issue accurately: for example, an accidental renewal, duplicate charge, unauthorized purchase, service defect, or apparent billing error.
- Keep the record. Save the transaction ID, receipt, support case number, email, and chat transcript.
A forgotten renewal is not automatically an unauthorized charge, and YouTube’s published season-pass policy does not promise a refund for an accidental renewal. If the price or renewal seems incorrect or was not properly disclosed, explain the details to support and ask for a billing review rather than assuming the charge will be reversed.

When a refund request may merit review
A feature or service did not work as described
YouTube TV’s general policy says customers can contact support if membership features are defective or do not perform as stated. This allows a request for review; it does not guarantee a refund for every outage, device issue, location problem, or missed game. Give support the date and time, affected game or feature, device and app, any error message, account email, transaction ID, and troubleshooting you tried. A charge appears unauthorized
If nobody authorized the purchase, report it through Google’s unauthorized-charge process rather than treating it as an ordinary cancellation. Google says these reports generally must be submitted within 120 days of the transaction. Do not describe a renewal you forgot about as fraud unless no one on the account authorized it.

A free trial converted to a paid membership
A trial may convert to a paid plan. YouTube’s trial guidance says a customer can request a refund after an unintended conversion, but approval is not assured. See Start a YouTube TV free trial.
You were charged twice or through an unexpected provider
Compare receipts and transaction records to see whether you have duplicate subscriptions—for example, a YouTube TV add-on and a separate Primetime Channels purchase. If Apple, Google Play, a carrier, or an internet provider processed the charge, that provider’s refund route applies even if you watch the games in YouTube or YouTube TV.

What happens if a refund is approved?
YouTube TV’s general refund policy says access ends immediately when a refund is approved, so do not assume you can keep watching through the rest of the season. For a card refund, YouTube says processing typically takes 3–5 business days and can sometimes take up to 10 business days, depending on the card issuer. Third-party providers may have different procedures and timing. The details are in YouTube TV’s refund guidance.
Two points to check before canceling a plan
Canceling YouTube TV can remove bundled Sunday Ticket access
If Sunday Ticket is bundled with a YouTube TV base plan, canceling the base plan causes loss of Sunday Ticket access. That is not a refund mechanism. Check the bundle terms on the official NFL Sunday Ticket page before changing the base plan.
A price change does not automatically create a refund right
Season passes may renew at full retail price, and a previous discount may not carry forward. A higher renewal price by itself does not guarantee a refund. If the amount differs from what you agreed to or the renewal terms appear to have been presented incorrectly, ask support to review the billing details.
