Spoilers for all six episodes of Netflix’s Caught. There is no single “real killer” in the finale: Marcos Brown orchestrates the scheme that frames Leo Mercer; Armando causes Martina’s fatal fall and his mother Juliana helps conceal her death; Fabián Ramos is the online predator journalist Ema Garay was investigating; and Facundo shoots Leo, who survives.
Why there isn’t one answer to “Who is the real killer?”
The finale resolves several crimes and assigns different kinds of responsibility. Marcos plans the deception against Leo, Armando causes Martina’s death in a confrontation, Fabián is the predator Ema set out to expose, and Facundo shoots Leo. These events are connected by the investigation, but the series does not identify one person as responsible for all of them.

Netflix describes Caught as a six-episode series set in Bariloche, Argentina, and based on Harlan Coben’s novel; its official materials introduce Ema, Leo, and Marcos as central characters (Netflix title page; Netflix announcement).
How Marcos framed Leo
Leo runs the Fronteras Foundation. During Ema’s sting operation, he appears at the house with the red door, making him her prime suspect. The finale’s flashbacks reveal that his presence was part of a plan engineered by Marcos, his childhood friend. Marcos wanted to reclaim his family’s land and tried to draw Leo into a financial arrangement involving land owned by the foundation. When Leo refused, Marcos set the deception in motion to make him look like an online predator.

The childhood grievance behind the scheme
The conflict traces back to the Briguel family home. As children, Marcos and Leo broke in while looking for a badge Marcos thought could help his father’s land dispute. They broke a chandelier while escaping, and the glass injured Margarita, who was still inside. Marcos was caught, and his family eventually lost its land. As an adult, he seeks to recover it; that history explains the personal and financial motive behind his plan, but it does not make him Martina’s killer.
What happened to Martina?
Martina left a party with Armando and went to his home. After seeing Ema’s viral video accusing Leo, she confronted Marcos by phone. Armando noticed Leo’s face on Martina’s other phone, and an argument followed. When Armando tried to push her away, Martina fell down the stairs and died.

The finale describes a fatal fall during a confrontation, not a planned killing. Juliana arrived and helped her son move Martina’s body and conceal what had happened. Later, she and Armando went to the police to confess.
Who was the online predator Ema investigated?
It was Fabián Ramos, not Leo. The finale identifies Fabián as the predator. He is arrested in Neuquén after a young woman escapes an attempted assault at a hotel and gets help. Leo’s apparent connection to the sting was part of Marcos’s frame-up.
Does Leo die at the end?
No. Facundo shoots Leo in the neck after Leo tries to explain himself to Ema, and Leo falls into a river. The closing scene shows him alive in a remote landscape with other riders, so the finale establishes that he survived.
