What is Found about?
The series follows Gabi Mosley, played by Shanola Hampton, who leads a crisis-management team specializing in missing-person cases. Her operation focuses on people who have been overlooked or failed by official systems—cases that might otherwise disappear from public attention.

That premise would already give Found a strong procedural foundation. Its distinctive serialized twist is much darker: Gabi keeps the man who once abducted her, a kidnapper known as Sir, secretly imprisoned. She turns to his specialized knowledge to help solve disappearances.
The result is a crime drama with two engines running at once. Each episode can deliver a missing-person investigation, while the larger story examines Gabi’s trauma, her morally extreme methods, and the psychological power struggle between her and the man who harmed her. It is a useful combination for viewers who like case-of-the-week storytelling but also want an ongoing thriller that changes the meaning of what they are watching.
Why the show was easy to overlook—and worth rediscovering
Calling Found “underrated” is an editorial judgment, not a precise ratings category. The more defensible point is that the show had a premise strong enough to stand out in a crowded crime-drama field, yet its two-season run ended before that idea could develop further.
Its appeal comes from the tension between the team’s compassionate mission and Gabi’s concealed arrangement with Sir. The series asks viewers to sit with an uncomfortable question: how far can someone go to recover missing people before the methods begin to resemble the abuse they are fighting against?

Peacock’s official listing identifies Hampton alongside Mark-Paul Gosselaar, Kelli Williams, Brett Dalton, Gabrielle Walsh, Arlen Escarpeta, and Karan Oberoi. Hampton’s Gabi remains the center of the story, but the team structure allows the show to explore different reactions to her secrets and decisions.

NBC canceled Found after two seasons
NBC canceled Found on May 9, 2025. The decision came before the Season 2 finale, ending the possibility of a third season on NBC. Reporting indicated that the show’s second-season performance had weakened compared with its first season, but NBC has not publicly documented one definitive reason that alone explains the cancellation.
That distinction matters. A change in ratings or audience size may form part of a network’s decision, but it would be too strong to claim that any single factor—such as scheduling, competition, or streaming performance—caused the cancellation without a fuller network explanation.
Nor should the Netflix listing be read as evidence of a rescue. Netflix has made the existing episodes available as a streaming option; there is no established Season 3 order or announced revival in the available information. New viewers may discover the show, but discovery is not the same as renewal.
Where to watch Found
At a glance
- Netflix: Listed by Netflix Tudum among titles arriving around January 2, 2026.
- Peacock: The official Peacock listing includes both seasons.
- Digital purchase: U.S. availability reporting has also identified Amazon Video and the Apple TV Store as possible digital options, subject to current marketplace listings.
Availability is territory- and date-sensitive. Confirm the listing, price, and included seasons in your market before subscribing or purchasing.
For viewers deciding where to start, the simplest option is to use the service that currently includes both seasons in their country. Those looking to watch both seasons of Found should verify that “both” are included under the specific plan or digital storefront listing they are considering. A listing for the first season on Amazon Video, for example, should not be interpreted as a physical DVD or Blu-ray release.

Does Netflix have a Season 3 of Found?
No Season 3 has been announced in the information available for this move. Netflix’s inclusion of Found in its programming guide establishes streaming availability, not a new-season order. The series remains a canceled NBC drama with two seasons.
That still makes the Netflix arrival significant for the show’s prospects as a rediscovery title. A large streaming audience can renew interest in an older broadcast series, but it would be speculative to promise that renewed attention will lead to a revival. For now, the accurate news is more limited—and still useful: viewers have another major place to find the existing story.

Found is a good fit for viewers who want:
- Missing-person investigations with an emphasis on people overlooked by official institutions;
- A procedural structure combined with a continuing psychological-thriller storyline;
- A morally complicated protagonist rather than a conventional police investigator;
- An ensemble drama built around a specialist team; and
- A high-concept crime series whose central mystery extends beyond the individual cases.
It is less suited to viewers looking for a completely self-contained case in every episode or a straightforward law-enforcement procedural. Gabi’s relationship with Sir is the show’s defining complication, and the series expects viewers to follow that serialized story alongside the weekly searches.
Independent reader supportYour contribution helps us test, update, and keep practical guides available for everyone.The bottom line
Found was canceled by NBC on May 9, 2025, after two seasons, but its unusual premise now has a fresh chance to find viewers. Netflix’s January 2026 listing places the series in front of a new streaming audience, while Peacock continues to list the existing two-season run. That is a reason to revisit the drama—not proof that Netflix has ordered a continuation.
