After a connection in the pods, their relationship ran into persistent tension over trust, communication, initiative and respect. When they reached the point of choosing wedding looks, they had a final conversation and agreed they were not a long-term match, according to Netflix’s Season 7 update.
How Hannah and Nick’s relationship unfolded
Hannah and Nick connected in the pods, but their path to an engagement was not straightforward. Hannah initially ended things with Nick for her other connection, Leo, then changed course and returned to Nick. Netflix’s franchise status page identifies that reversal as an early source of trust issues.
After they met in person and left the pods, the show depicted a relationship marked by conflict. Netflix’s recap notes Nick riding a duck as a memorable comic scene, but it does not present that moment as the reason they split. The more consequential issue was how the couple’s expectations and ways of communicating played out once they were together outside the pods.
Why the relationship struggled outside the pods
They had different expectations of communication
Hannah later reflected that her bluntness could be difficult for Nick. At the reunion, she described herself as direct: “I’m very to the point and very direct. That’s just who I am.” She also apologized for her harsher treatment of him and said she had been “so cruel,” according to Netflix’s reunion recap.

Nick, in his post-season comments, said he felt disrespected by some of what Hannah said and wished for more understanding. Those are his reflections, not an independent assessment of their private relationship. He also said, “She is fantastic and we really had a strong connection,” making clear that his account included appreciation as well as frustration.
They disagreed about initiative and maturity
Nick said Hannah pushed him to think differently about initiative and responsibility. Their conflict was therefore not only about how they spoke to one another; it also involved what each expected from a partner. The show and the participants’ accounts do not establish an objective measure of either person’s maturity, so the fairest description is that their expectations did not align.

The early trust complication remained part of the story
Hannah’s decision to pursue Leo before returning to Nick preceded the couple’s in-person relationship. Netflix’s recap says trust issues followed that turn. It is one part of the context, rather than a complete explanation for the breakup: their later accounts also point to communication, initiative and respect.
Why didn’t Nick end it sooner?
Nick’s own comments offer a partial answer: he said he and Hannah had a strong connection, and he credited her with pushing him to reconsider his approach to initiative and responsibility. That helps explain why he could value the relationship even while describing conflict. The available accounts do not establish a single private reason he stayed or a precise moment when either person decided the relationship was over.

They agreed to separate before the wedding
On the day they were expected to choose wedding looks, Hannah and Nick instead had a heated conversation. Netflix’s account says they both acknowledged that the relationship would not work long term. They separated before the altar and did not marry.
Calling them “never going to work” is an interpretation of that sequence, not a fact that can be proved from a reality-TV edit. The clearest evidence is their reported final agreement that they were not viable long term, after repeated friction and a difficult transition from pod connection to everyday partnership.

What happened at the reunion?
The reunion revisited both accountability and disputed claims. Hannah apologized for being cruel and alleged that she found a note in Nick’s apartment listing a goal to become the most famous person ever on Love Is Blind. Nick said it was part of a lighthearted 90-day goal exercise. The recap reports the exchange; it does not independently establish what the note meant.
The reunion also addressed claims that Nick had used derogatory language about Hannah. He denied them, while Ramses and Stephen said he had made similar remarks to them. These remain attributed, disputed accounts in the recap, not independently verified private facts.

Where are Hannah and Nick now?
Netflix’s franchise page, accessed October 4, 2026, lists Hannah and Nick as no longer together and reports both as single. That is the page’s latest reported status, not a guarantee of their current private circumstances.
Because Love Is Blind is edited reality television, viewers see selected footage rather than the full relationship. Hannah’s and Nick’s post-show accounts help explain the conflict, but neither account turns the edit into a complete record of what happened between them.
