Morgan and White’s relationship lasted longer than their marriage. They married in September 2010 in a private beachside ceremony, meaning they had been married for nearly 15 years when White died. What was reported about White’s cancer?
Morgan publicly disclosed White’s mouth-cancer diagnosis in April 2024. At the time, she asked for prayers and continued support while also requesting privacy for the family.
In April 2025, reports said White had been readmitted to a Middle Tennessee hospital while continuing cancer treatment. Morgan canceled or postponed performances so she could care for him. White died during the early morning hours of June 1, 2025, in Nashville.

Morgan’s earlier loss and country-music career

Morgan was born in Nashville, is the daughter of Country Music Hall of Fame member George Morgan, and became a member of the Grand Ole Opry.
