For a prerecorded YouTube broadcast, Streamlabs Talk Studio is the more direct documented fit: its scheduling workflow lets you upload a video and create a scheduled event. Larix Broadcaster is documented as a mobile encoder for sending a live camera feed to YouTube or another RTMP destination—not as a tool with a documented prerecorded-file scheduling flow. That difference describes the workflows established by the cited product materials; it does not prove that no workaround exists.

Which one fits a prerecorded YouTube stream?

Choose Streamlabs Talk Studio if you want to upload a finished video and schedule it as a YouTube event. Its instructions explicitly describe choosing “Pre-recorded video,” uploading a file, and setting event details. YouTube supplies the event page and platform controls.

Choose Larix Broadcaster when the source is a live phone camera and you need a mobile encoder to send that feed to YouTube. Larix’s official app listing describes live mobile contribution and supported streaming protocols; the reviewed official materials do not establish an equivalent workflow for scheduling a prerecorded file. Streamlabs’ scheduling guide and the Larix Broadcaster listing describe these distinct roles.

How the workflows differ

Need Streamlabs Talk Studio Larix Broadcaster
Schedule a prerecorded file Documented: choose “Pre-recorded video,” upload the file, enter event details, and schedule it. The guide states a 5 GB file maximum; duration limits depend on plan. No built-in prerecorded-file scheduling workflow is established by the reviewed official materials. The app is described as a mobile live encoder.
Send a live phone-camera feed Not the distinguishing function of the cited prerecorded scheduling guide. Core documented use: capture and stream live from a mobile device using RTMP and other protocols.
Create a YouTube scheduled event The documented flow schedules the event and says YouTube creates an event link. Create or schedule the stream in YouTube Studio, then configure the encoder with YouTube’s server URL and stream key.
Custom RTMP destination Not supported in the documented Talk Studio scheduling feature. The Larix listing describes RTMP support; that is an encoder capability, not evidence of prerecorded-file scheduling.

The Talk Studio figures above come from Streamlabs Support’s article, last updated April 25, 2025: the stated maximum is 5 GB, with a one-hour duration limit on Standard and two hours on Pro or Ultra. These plan names and limits may change, so check the current guide and your account tier before scheduling: Talk Studio Broadcast Scheduling.

Elebase USB to USB C Adapter for iPhone 18 Pro Max,USBC Car Charger Adapter
  • Read Before You Buy — No Video Output: These adapters support charging and USB 2.0 data transfer, but cannot transmit video signals. Except for standard USB webcams (which use USB data only), they are not compatible with HDMI/DisplayPort cables, video-capable USB-C hubs, or docking stations with video output.
  • Convert USB-A Ports to USB-C: Designed to connect USB-C earphones, cables, flash drives, card readers, and other USB-C accessories to standard USB-A ports. Plug-and-play with no drivers or software required.
  • Aluminum Alloy Housing: Built with a sturdy aluminum alloy shell that aids in heat dissipation and protects against daily wear and scratches. Designed to maintain a stable and secure connection.
  • Compact & Travel-Friendly: The ultra-compact design allows the adapter to stay plugged into your device without blocking adjacent ports or adding bulk, reducing wear and tear on your original USB ports.
  • 12-Month Warranty: Backed by a 12-month manufacturer warranty for peace of mind. Designed to meet strict quality control standards for reliable everyday performance.

Schedule a prerecorded video with Streamlabs Talk Studio

  1. Open Talk Studio’s scheduling feature and add a scheduled stream.
  2. Choose the destination or destinations. For the workflow discussed here, select YouTube.
  3. Select “Pre-recorded video” and upload your finished file. Confirm it fits the applicable file-size and duration limits.
  4. Enter the event title, description, date and time, and thumbnail.
  5. Schedule the broadcast. Streamlabs says the YouTube destination creates an event link that you can share.

These steps follow Streamlabs’ prerecorded-video instructions. The scheduling guide says custom RTMP destinations are unsupported for this feature, so it is not a general-purpose scheduled-file workflow for arbitrary RTMP endpoints.

Use Larix when the source is a live phone camera

Larix’s documented role is live encoding, not the prerecorded upload flow above. For a scheduled YouTube stream using an encoder, YouTube’s workflow is to create or schedule the stream in YouTube Studio, then send the stream from the encoder using the server URL and stream key.

Copyright and YouTube policy still apply

Scheduling a file does not grant permission to use its footage, music, narration, or other protected material. Use content you own or are licensed to broadcast, and check the rights for every included element. YouTube’s live-stream setup and control room remain part of the process whether the input is a camera feed or a prerecorded file; confirm the event settings and platform requirements in YouTube Studio before promoting it.
