Short answer: For a live camera feed from an Android phone, choose Larix Broadcaster if you need encoder controls, protocol flexibility, or external USB video input; choose PRISM Live Studio if you prefer a guided mobile workflow with visual effects and YouTube account connection. Neither app is proven to keep a phone-based stream running reliably 24/7. If you mean a continuous loop of prerecorded video rather than a live camera, that is a different job: StreamNeo runs uploaded videos to YouTube from the cloud, so your phone and computer can stay off.
First, clarify what you mean by “24/7 stream”
A phone app can encode and send a live camera feed while the phone, power supply, network, and app keep working. That is not the same as a hosted service continuously playing prerecorded video. Larix Broadcaster and PRISM Live Studio are mobile broadcasting apps; neither has verified sustained-runtime evidence for uninterrupted 24/7 use on Indian phones and networks.
- Live camera or field coverage: Compare Larix and PRISM below, then trial your exact phone, connection, charging arrangement, and settings before relying on it.
- Continuous prerecorded video: Use a service designed to play uploaded content from the cloud. YouTube’s encoder guidance identifies cloud-based streaming as a category for prerecorded 24/7 video, but that does not make it equivalent to a live phone camera.

These app and platform feature details were checked on 2026-10-03; app subscriptions, features, and platform policies can change.
Which app should you choose?
Choose Larix for encoder control and external inputs
Larix is the more technical option when you need a choice of contribution protocols, manual configuration, or an Android USB camera or capture card connected over USB OTG. Its current Android Google Play listing describes these capabilities and lists auto-start and removal of the time limit as Premium features. Check the listing for the current subscription price and precise tier limits before subscribing.

- Read Before You Buy — No Video Output: These adapters support charging and USB 2.0 data transfer, but cannot transmit video signals. Except for standard USB webcams (which use USB data only), they are not compatible with HDMI/DisplayPort cables, video-capable USB-C hubs, or docking stations with video output.
- Convert USB-A Ports to USB-C: Designed to connect USB-C earphones, cables, flash drives, card readers, and other USB-C accessories to standard USB-A ports. Plug-and-play with no drivers or software required.
- Aluminum Alloy Housing: Built with a sturdy aluminum alloy shell that aids in heat dissipation and protects against daily wear and scratches. Designed to maintain a stable and secure connection.
- Compact & Travel-Friendly: The ultra-compact design allows the adapter to stay plugged into your device without blocking adjacent ports or adding bulk, reducing wear and tear on your original USB ports.
- 12-Month Warranty: Backed by a 12-month manufacturer warranty for peace of mind. Designed to meet strict quality control standards for reliable everyday performance.
A USB-C OTG adapter is relevant only if your phone supports USB host/OTG and the camera or capture card is compatible. A basic stream using the phone’s built-in camera does not need this accessory.
Choose PRISM for a guided creator workflow
PRISM suits creators who want a phone-oriented production flow, visual effects, and either a YouTube account connection or custom RTMP. Its official FAQ describes adaptive bitrate: the app assesses network conditions and adjusts bitrate and FPS, potentially lowering image quality to improve stability. The same FAQ cautions that long broadcasts at high resolution may cause heating.

Neither is a proven 24/7 reliability solution
No comparative test establishes that either app can sustain an uninterrupted day-long broadcast across Indian networks, phone models, ambient temperatures, charging arrangements, or carrier handoffs. More automation or adaptive bitrate may be useful, but neither is an uptime guarantee. Run a controlled trial on the actual setup you intend to use.
Set up YouTube access before configuring either app
- Check channel eligibility: YouTube says the channel must be verified and must not have live-streaming restrictions within the prior 90 days. First-time live-stream enablement may take up to 24 hours, so enable it before the day you need to broadcast. See YouTube’s live-streaming requirements.
- Choose account connection or custom RTMP: PRISM documents a YouTube workflow and custom RTMP. With custom RTMP, open YouTube Studio’s live dashboard and copy the stream URL and stream key into the app’s corresponding fields. YouTube documents the encoder setup at Create a YouTube live stream with an encoder.
- Protect the stream key: Treat it like a password. Do not share screenshots or send it to anyone who should not be able to broadcast to your channel. If it is exposed, replace or reset it in YouTube Studio and update the app.
- Confirm the destination and preview: Check that the correct channel and stream are selected, then inspect the YouTube preview before going live. A successful connection to an encoder does not by itself confirm that the intended audience can see the right broadcast.
Settings and operating choices that affect stability
Network and adaptive bitrate
Use a stable connection and test at the location where you plan to stream. PRISM’s adaptive bitrate option can adjust bitrate and FPS as network conditions change, trading image detail or smoothness for a more stable feed. If you use a fixed manual bitrate in an encoder-style workflow, test it on the actual connection rather than assuming a nominal mobile speed will hold throughout a long session.

Resolution and phone heat
Higher-resolution, long-duration streaming increases the phone’s workload. PRISM specifically warns that extended high-resolution broadcasts may cause heating. If the phone becomes hot or the stream becomes unstable, test a lower resolution or frame rate and monitor the device. A cooling accessory is an optional experiment, not a verified fix or guarantee.
Background operation and ending a stream
PRISM’s mobile documentation covers Android background broadcasting and adaptive-bitrate configuration; check the app’s current settings and your Android version, since background behavior can depend on device and system settings. When ending a PRISM broadcast, use the app’s Finish button. Its FAQ cautions that transmission may continue according to a platform’s RTMP policy even when the viewer-facing stream appears to have ended.

Protect the YouTube archive
YouTube says streams under 12 hours can be automatically archived, while a stream that exceeds 12 hours may not be captured at all. The 12-hour point is an archive-retention consideration, not a rule requiring every live stream to end by then. If you need a YouTube archive, schedule separate sessions that remain under 12 hours and make a local recording backup; YouTube also recommends keeping a local backup. See YouTube’s live-stream archive guidance.
Troubleshooting a phone broadcast
| Symptom | Likely issue | What to check |
|---|---|---|
| App cannot start the YouTube broadcast | Live streaming is not enabled, the channel is restricted, or setup is incomplete | Check channel verification and restrictions; allow up to 24 hours for first-time enablement. Confirm the current stream URL and key. |
| Encoder connects but the YouTube preview is missing or wrong | Wrong destination, stream details, or key | Recheck the selected channel, URL, key, and live dashboard preview. Replace the key if it may have been exposed. |
| Picture degrades or drops on a variable connection | Network fluctuation or settings too demanding for the connection | With PRISM, test adaptive bitrate; otherwise trial a lower bitrate, resolution, or FPS and verify performance at the stream location. |
| Phone heats during a long, high-resolution session | Sustained device workload | Reduce resolution or frame rate, monitor the phone, and test the revised setup. Do not treat a fan or cooling accessory as a guaranteed solution. |
| Stream appears ended but may still be transmitting | App/platform RTMP session has not been safely closed | In PRISM, end the broadcast with the app’s Finish button, then verify the stream status in YouTube Studio. |
| Expected archive is absent after a very long stream | The broadcast exceeded YouTube’s 12-hour capture threshold | For future archive-dependent streams, split the schedule into sessions under 12 hours and record locally. |
