But the available reporting does not verify a behind-the-scenes shake-up—or connect any such change to the season’s Texas production. Paramount+ announced the production in Texas in April 2025; local reporting later identified filming in Fort Worth and Dallas.
Was there a behind-the-scenes shake-up?
The claim in the original framing is unverified. Paramount+’s April 2025 announcement confirmed Season 2 production was underway in Texas but did not report a production or personnel shake-up. CBS News Texas’s coverage of the premiere and local filming likewise did not attribute the Texas production to a behind-the-scenes change.
Without reporting that identifies what changed, who was affected, when it happened, and how it related to filming, the shake-up should not be treated as the reason Landman returned to Texas.
Where and when was Season 2 made?
Paramount+ announced on April 2, 2025, that Season 2 production was underway in Texas. CBS News Texas reported filming across Fort Worth and Dallas. The local production used recognizable North Texas settings, including Dallas streets, a local gas station used as a bar, and Fort Worth’s Petroleum Club.
