In the United States, Prime Video carried the game exclusively. At the time, eligible Amazon customers could watch through a 30-day Prime trial, but it was not a universally free broadcast.

The matchup was part of the NBA Cup knockout stage, not an ordinary regular-season game. The Knicks advanced to the championship and ultimately won the 2025 NBA Cup. The NBA’s semifinal announcement lists the Las Vegas venue and start time.
Where the game streamed in the U.S.
Prime Video was the exclusive U.S. streaming home for the semifinal. The game was included in Amazon’s NBA package for the 2025–26 season, which covered the NBA Cup semifinals and championship game. It was not a live ESPN, ABC, Peacock or NBA League Pass broadcast.

Could you watch it free?
The legitimate free option at the time was an eligible Amazon Prime 30-day free trial. That was a free trial of the Prime membership, not a free over-the-air broadcast available to everyone.
Amazon required a payment method, and the membership converted to a paid subscription unless it was canceled before the trial ended. The U.S. prices cited by Amazon were $14.99 per month or $139 per year after the trial, although prices and terms can change. Trial availability depended on the account: new or returning customers were not necessarily eligible.
Check the final signup screen for the exact trial end and renewal date. Amazon’s official Prime trial guide provides the current signup and cancellation guidance.

How the Prime trial worked
- Go to Amazon’s official Prime signup page.
- Sign in or create an Amazon account.
- Confirm that the page displays a free-trial offer for your account.
- Add or confirm a payment method and start the trial.
- Open Prime Video and search for “NBA,” “Knicks,” “Magic” or the relevant live-sports listing.
- After signup, open Account and then Prime Membership to note the renewal date.
- Cancel before renewal if you do not want the membership to become paid.
Labels can differ by device, browser and Amazon’s current interface. Do not assume that canceling immediately preserves access for the entire trial; check the end date and access information shown in your account.
Why NBA League Pass was not the live solution
NBA League Pass is useful for many out-of-market regular-season games, replays and archive viewing, but it was not the way to watch this semifinal live. The NBA says nationally distributed games carried by partners including Amazon Prime Video are unavailable live through League Pass, with replay availability governed by League Pass rules.
That means buying League Pass specifically for the live Knicks–Magic NBA Cup semifinal would have been a poor fit. Blackouts also vary by location and broadcast type. See the official League Pass page for current restrictions and availability.
What about YouTube TV?
YouTube TV could make sense as a broader live-TV replacement for a household that wants local channels and sports networks, but it did not replace Prime Video’s exclusive rights to this semifinal. It should not be presented as a way to watch this particular game live.

Troubleshooting Prime Video access
- Confirm that you are signed into the same Amazon account used to activate Prime.
- Check the account’s country and billing region.
- Search directly for “NBA,” “Knicks,” “Magic” or the game listing instead of relying only on the home page.
- Update the Prime Video app, then restart the app and streaming device.
- Try a supported web browser or another compatible device.
- Check the internet connection and disable a VPN that may interfere with location verification.
- Confirm the event date and status. A historical listing will not behave like an active live stream.
- If you are outside the United States, check your local NBA rights holder or Prime Video sports listing; U.S. rights and trial terms do not automatically apply internationally.
Availability can depend on geography, account eligibility, rights and whether the event is live or archived. No Prime trial guarantees access to every live sports event in every territory.
Independent reader supportYour contribution helps us test, update, and keep practical guides available for everyone.Where to watch now
Because the game has already been played, there is no current live stream to join. Look for an official replay through NBA services or Prime Video if it remains available in your region, and use the NBA’s official highlights video for a legitimate recap.
Avoid websites promising a “free live stream” of the completed game, unauthorized social-media restreams and no-signup piracy links. They are not legitimate alternatives and may involve deceptive signups, malware or copyright infringement.
