Jimmie Allen’s former day-to-day manager agreed to dismiss her claims against him effective March 14, 2024. Allen’s counterclaims against her were dismissed as part of the same agreement. The March 2024 reports said claims against his former management company, Wide Open Music, and its founder, Ash Bowers, would continue.
What was dismissed in March 2024?
News reports published March 15 said Allen and the former manager, identified as Jane Doe in court documents, agreed to dismiss her claims against Allen and his counterclaims against her. The agreement took effect March 14, 2024. WSMV and WBOC reported the agreement.
What allegations were at issue?
The former manager filed suit in May 2023 against Allen, Wide Open Music, and the company’s founder, Ash Bowers. Her complaint alleged sexual abuse and harassment over an 18-month period from 2020 to 2022. Those statements were allegations in the complaint, not findings established by the March 2024 dismissal. WBOC’s report describes the case and agreement.
Did the dismissal decide whether the allegations were true?
No finding about the truth or falsity of the former manager’s allegations is reported in the March 2024 coverage. The reported outcome was an agreement to dismiss the claims between her and Allen, along with Allen’s counterclaims against her. It should not be described as a court clearing Allen, a recantation by the former manager, or proof that the allegations were true.

Did the claims against Wide Open Music and Ash Bowers end?
No. The March 2024 reports said the former manager’s claims against Wide Open Music and Bowers would continue. The later status of those remaining claims is not established in the reporting cited here, so the March dismissal should not be treated as the end of the entire lawsuit.
How is the separate Jane Doe 2 case different?
Jane Doe 2 was a different plaintiff in a separate case concerning an alleged 2022 incident in Las Vegas. In August 2025, the Los Angeles Times reported that a federal judge entered judgment against Allen after he and co-defendants failed to respond to a motion on time and failed to comply with court orders. That reported procedural outcome belongs to Jane Doe 2’s case; it is not the result of the former manager’s case. The later status of Jane Doe 2’s case is not established here.
