Jennifer Garner and John Miller were seen heading to dinner in Santa Monica on August 2, 2026, in an outing E! framed as marking seven years together. E! reported that Garner placed a hand on Miller’s back as they walked. “Flirty” is a characterization of that photographed gesture—not a quote from either of them—and neither has publicly announced an anniversary.
What happened during the Santa Monica outing?
E! reported that Garner and Miller went to dinner in Santa Monica on August 2, 2026. The outlet described Garner placing her hand on Miller’s back as they walked toward the restaurant, a small affectionate gesture that prompted the “flirty” framing in coverage. The report does not establish what either person intended by it. E!’s account of the date night was published August 3.
What is the relationship milestone?
E! described the pair as having been together for seven years. That is the outlet’s relationship-duration framing, not a milestone the couple publicly confirmed or said they were celebrating. ELLE’s September 2026 overview says Garner and Miller have been romantically linked since 2018 and characterizes the relationship as on and off. It also reports that they were photographed together over Labor Day weekend. ELLE’s relationship overview was published September 9, 2026.
What have reports said about their status?
Us Weekly reported on August 4 that an anonymous source said, “John and Jennifer are still together and going strong.” That is the source’s claim as relayed by the outlet, not a direct statement from Garner or Miller. Us Weekly’s report tied the comment to the Santa Monica sighting.

These are attributed descriptions, not public comments from the couple. ELLE’s August report likewise does not establish that the pair announced or marked an anniversary.
