No. Disney+’s Netherlands listing displays The Fantastic Four: First Steps at 1 hour 56 minutes, while Deadpool & Wolverine is reported at 128 minutes—longer than the displayed runtime for First Steps. The claim that First Steps is the longest MCU movie in two years therefore does not hold for a recent-film comparison that includes the 2024 release. The phrase “in two years” also needs a publication date and a defined comparison window to be precise.
How long is The Fantastic Four: First Steps?
Disney+’s Netherlands catalogue page displays the film’s runtime as 1 hour 56 minutes. That is a display rounded to the minute, not an exact count of seconds. Other search results have reported 114 or 115 minutes, so it is best to identify the listing being used rather than present one figure as a universally confirmed exact runtime. Is it the longest MCU movie in two years?
Not in a recent-MCU comparison that includes Deadpool & Wolverine. ComicBook.com reports that film at 128 minutes, which is longer than Disney+’s 1h 56m display for First Steps. That counterexample is enough to disprove the superlative for a window that includes the 2024 movie, although the precise answer depends on which releases the headline’s undefined two-year span is meant to cover. ComicBook.com runtime report.
Runtime figures can differ between listings because of rounding, edition, and whether credits are counted. A fair comparison should use the same kind of listing for each film and define the release-date window. A secondary MCU runtime list gives Captain America: Brave New World as 1h 58m and Thunderbolts as 2h 7m, but those values should be treated as source-reported comparisons, not as a single authoritative measurement. What does “in two years” mean here?
The wording is incomplete without the headline’s publication date: a rolling two-year period changes depending on when it is measured. It also does not say whether the comparison includes every MCU theatrical film, how runtimes were sourced, or whether credits count.
