Solo Leveling’s next season has not been officially confirmed as delayed indefinitely. As of August 13, 2026, Aniplex and Crunchyroll have confirmed Solo Leveling: Beyond the System, a theatrical movie continuing from Season 2, but the official announcements provide no release date and do not cancel TV Season 3.
The wording matters because “delayed indefinitely” suggests an official status that the primary sources do not state. The confirmed change is format: the next announced chapter is a movie rather than a dated television season.

Solo Leveling: Beyond the System does not have an officially announced release date in the primary sources reviewed as of August 13, 2026. That means a specific release year should not be treated as confirmed. The official record also does not establish whether the film will receive simultaneous worldwide distribution, territory-specific theatrical windows, or a later streaming release. Those details may be announced separately.

Was Solo Leveling Season 3 canceled?
No official source reviewed for this update says that Solo Leveling Season 3 was canceled. The confirmed movie announcement changes the immediate format of the continuation, but it does not state that a conventional TV Season 3 can never follow the film.
The careful distinction is important:
- Confirmed: the next announced anime installment is a theatrical movie continuing from Season 2.
- Not confirmed: a separate TV Season 3 release date.
- Not confirmed: cancellation of TV Season 3.
- Not confirmed: permanent replacement of all future television episodes by the movie.
Until Aniplex, A-1 Pictures, Crunchyroll, or another primary rights-holder provides a further announcement, “canceled” and “indefinitely delayed” go beyond the available evidence.
What is the Solo Leveling announcement timeline?
The official timeline shows a move from a TV-season expectation to a confirmed theatrical continuation, rather than an announced indefinite delay.

Where can you watch Solo Leveling Season 2?
You can catch up with Solo Leveling through Crunchyroll where the series is available in your territory. Crunchyroll announced the Season 2 streaming relationship, and its official episode page lists episode 25, “On to the Next Target,” as released on February 3, 2026. Catalog availability, language options, and subscription requirements can vary by country.
For viewers who prefer physical media, Crunchyroll announced standard and limited-edition Blu-ray/DVD releases for Solo Leveling Season 2 -Arise from the Shadow-. The limited edition includes a 68-page art book, four art cards, and a sticker sheet; the announcement gave March 17, 2026, as the North American availability date. Check the disc format and region compatibility before buying. Readers interested in owning the existing anime can look for the Solo Leveling Season 2 Blu-ray/DVD through approved retail channels.
What should you read after Solo Leveling Season 2?
The safest answer is to start with the original manhwa if you want to revisit the source material, but the officially announced movie should not be treated as a substitute for a specific manga volume until its adaptation scope is confirmed. Yen Press catalogs Solo Leveling, Vol. 1 (comic), making Solo Leveling Vol. 1 manga a straightforward starting point for readers who want the English-language physical comic. Volume 1 is a beginning point, not a claim that it contains the movie’s continuation.
Readers who already own earlier volumes can continue through the licensed English editions, but the film’s exact adapted material remains unannounced. Avoid buying a volume solely because an unofficial post claims it is the movie’s direct source.

What remains unknown about Beyond the System?
Several important details remain unresolved because the July announcements are production confirmations rather than full release guides.
- The theatrical release date.
- The movie’s runtime.
- The exact plot coverage or adapted story arc.
- Whether the movie will receive a worldwide release or territory-specific theatrical windows.
- Whether and when the movie will become available for streaming.
- Whether a conventional TV Season 3 will follow the movie.
- The home-video release date and edition details.
- The official reason the next announced continuation is a film rather than a TV season.
None of these unanswered questions proves an indefinite delay. They simply mark information that the primary announcements had not supplied by August 13, 2026.

Fans should treat Beyond the System as the confirmed next anime chapter and treat its timing as unknown. A-1 Pictures is returning, Season 2 has concluded on the official streaming listing, and the movie is in production; a release year, a TV Season 3 cancellation, and an indefinite-delay declaration are not confirmed.
For updates, use the official Solo Leveling anime news page, Aniplex announcements, and Crunchyroll News rather than social-media projections. For now, the accurate headline is: Solo Leveling’s next anime chapter is now a movie, but its release date is still unknown.
