Is ‘Salem’s Lot available to rent or buy?
Some third-party search results and availability aggregators may display transactional rental or purchase options. However, the available evidence is not consistent enough to recommend a particular retailer, price, or digital purchase listing. If you do not have Max, search the exact title at the digital stores available in your country and confirm that the listing is for ‘Salem’s Lot (2024) before paying.
In the United States, Max remains the clearly documented primary destination. A rental or purchase listing may appear or disappear independently of the Max catalog.
Can viewers outside the U.S. watch it on Max?
Not necessarily. The October 3 Max announcement was a U.S.-focused release notice, and international distribution was different in at least some territories. Warner Bros. promotional material for the United Kingdom and Ireland described a theatrical release on October 11, 2024.

Read the Stephen King novel behind the film
The movie adapts King’s 1975 novel, so viewers who want the source material can read the book the reboot is based on: Stephen King’s original ‘Salem’s Lot novel. Current editions include standard printings and, depending on the market, movie-tie-in editions. The novel expands the history of Jerusalem’s Lot and the characters who confront its vampire threat, making it a natural companion to the 2024 film—not a requirement for watching it on Max.
