No—not on the evidence available. Jade Cargill has won WWE’s top women’s championship and Queen of the Ring, and WWE continued to book her in prominent matches and title programs after she lost the championship. Her September 2026 qualifying-match defeat is a setback, but it does not establish that her opportunity to become a major star has ended.
What does “major star” mean?
The answer depends on the standard. If it means reaching championship status and receiving high-profile programs, Cargill has already done both. If it means sustained audience connection, drawing power, or lasting critical acclaim, the available WWE results and profile information cannot settle the question: they do not provide independently measured popularity, ticket-drawing comparisons, merchandise sales, or audience sentiment.
That distinction matters. A prominent booking is evidence of WWE’s investment in a performer; it is not, by itself, proof of broad or lasting popularity. Likewise, a single loss is not proof that a career trajectory has stalled.
Her championship record makes “over” a difficult claim
WWE’s official profile says Cargill signed with the company in September 2023 and made her in-ring debut at the 2024 Royal Rumble. It lists her as a former WWE Women’s Champion and WWE Women’s Tag Team Champion, and as the winner of the 2025 Queen of the Ring tournament. She won the WWE Women’s Title from Tiffany Stratton in November 2025.

WWE also says the announcement of Cargill’s signing received more than 20 million social-media views. That is a company-reported figure for the announcement, not an independent measure of sustained fandom or star power.
The WrestleMania loss was a turning point, not a final verdict
Cargill lost the WWE Women’s Championship to Rhea Ripley at WrestleMania 42. WWE reported her return and attack on Ripley in May 2026, then recorded Cargill defeating Alexa Bliss on May 29 while describing her as set to challenge Ripley for the title at Clash in Italy two days later. Those official records document an active top-title program after the WrestleMania loss.

WWE’s June 19 preview said Cargill pinned Stratton in a June 5 tag match, setting up a challenge for Stratton’s Women’s United States Championship at Night of Champions. In that preview, WWE described Stratton’s earlier WWE Women’s Championship reign as 301 days; that figure is WWE’s published account.
Her later matches show continued high-profile booking
At SummerSlam, Cargill competed for the Interim WWE Women’s Title in a ladder match. WWE reported that Chelsea Green won, defeating Cargill, Charlotte Flair, Lash Legend, and Tiffany Stratton. The result is a loss, but the match itself placed Cargill in a major-event title contest.

On September 18, 2026, Cargill faced Alexa Bliss and Women’s United States Champion Jacy Jayne in a triple-threat Money in the Bank qualifying match. Jayne won by pinning Bliss; WWE’s recap noted that Cargill had stopped Bliss from pinning Jayne shortly beforehand. The outcome counts as a qualifying-match loss for Cargill, but it was not an elimination from all future main-event contention.
What the evidence can—and cannot—show
| Question | What the record supports | What it does not establish |
|---|---|---|
| Has Cargill reached championship level? | WWE lists her as a former WWE Women’s Champion and Women’s Tag Team Champion, and the 2025 Queen of the Ring winner. | That those achievements alone translate into lasting mainstream fame. |
| Did WWE keep featuring her after she lost the title? | WWE documented a renewed Ripley program, a United States title challenge setup, and a SummerSlam interim-title ladder match. | That prominent booking proves sustained audience demand. |
| Do recent results show a decline? | She did not win the SummerSlam ladder match and did not win the September 18 qualifying match. | That two results, including one qualifying-match loss, end her prospects. |
| Is she a proven draw or long-term audience favorite? | WWE reports a high view count for the signing announcement. | Independent ratings, ticket-drawing comparisons, merchandise-sales data, or sentiment measures are not established by the sources cited here. |
So, is her shot at becoming a major star over?
The claim is too categorical. Cargill has already achieved major championship milestones, and WWE continued to place her in featured programs and matches after her title loss. Her latest qualifying defeat is meaningful as a result, but it does not answer the broader question of her long-term ceiling. The public evidence supports a more careful conclusion: her opportunity remains open, while sustained audience popularity and drawing power are not demonstrated by the available records.
