The available interview description identifies those subjects but does not provide a transcript, so specific answers or quotations from the video cannot be verified here.
What the February 2022 interview covers
The listing for Denise Salcedo’s February 3, 2022 video says Bailey discusses being banned from the United States and the effect on his career. It also points to questions about a possible WWE signing and his work in Mexico, Japan and Europe. Those are the subjects the description establishes; it does not document the details of Bailey’s answers.
What has been reported about Bailey’s U.S. ban
A November 2021 Sports Illustrated report describes Bailey as having been banned from the United States for five years after trying to enter the country to work without the appropriate visa. Fightful’s June 2024 account of a later interview also connects the ban to visa issues. These are secondary reports; the available sources do not include an official immigration or court record establishing the case details.
The duration and reported cause help explain why the ban is discussed as a career issue, but they do not establish every consequence Bailey experienced. The 2022 video description signals that he addresses the effect on his career; without its transcript or a verified review of the recording, more detailed claims about his personal account would be speculative.

Did Mike Bailey sign a WWE contract?
No. Sports Illustrated reported on November 3, 2021, that WWE discussions had advanced to an offer and pre-signing process, but Bailey did not sign a contract. In that separate report, Bailey said: “I didn’t sign a contract.” The statement is about those WWE discussions, not a quotation from Salcedo’s 2022 interview.
Bailey later described a different stage of the process. In a June 11, 2024 report, Fightful summarized his account on Talk Is Jericho: he had agreed to join NXT, but WWE stopped the hiring process before it hired him. Taken together, the accounts distinguish an early offer process from a later agreement to join NXT; neither establishes that Bailey completed a WWE contract or was hired.

How the WWE and U.S. ban stories fit into his career
Sports Illustrated reported in November 2021 that Bailey had signed with Impact Wrestling. A September 4, 2026 Watermark Out News profile says he signed with AEW in January 2025. That later report establishes a subsequent career milestone as reported by that outlet, but does not state contract terms or prove Bailey’s status on any particular later date.
The 2022 interview’s international-wrestling theme also places the ban alongside Bailey’s work in Mexico, Japan and Europe. The description confirms that those regions are part of the conversation, but it does not supply enough detail to attribute specific stories, matches or career effects to Bailey.
