Imminent: Inside the Pentagon’s Hunt for UFOs is Luis “Lue” Elizondo’s account of his involvement in government work on unidentified anomalous phenomena (UAP) and his advocacy for greater transparency. Its provocative “We are not alone!” framing points to Elizondo’s argument about nonhuman intelligence—not to a conclusion independently established by the book’s catalog descriptions.
What is Imminent about?
The book presents itself as a first-hand account of Elizondo’s involvement with government UAP work and a call for disclosure. Publisher and catalog descriptions frame the subject in terms of national security and humanity’s place in the universe. Those descriptions explain the book’s scope and point of view; they do not independently confirm its claims.
Find Imminent through the author’s official book page, which lists retailers. Listings and format availability can change, so check the retailer’s current page for details.
What does Elizondo claim about UAP?
The publisher and catalog summary says Elizondo argues that nonhuman intelligence is involved in UAP and that the activity has implications for sensitive military installations and operations. The careful way to describe this is as Elizondo’s claim or the book’s argument. A book description is not independent evidence that nonhuman intelligence is present or that the alleged activity has occurred as described.

What are Elizondo’s credentials?
Elizondo’s official biography describes him as a former senior intelligence official and associates his government career with the Advanced Aerospace Threat Identification Program (AATIP). His author page also summarizes Department of Defense and intelligence work. These credentials provide context for his perspective; they do not, by themselves, verify the extraordinary claims attributed to the book.
Does the book establish that “we are not alone”?
No conclusion of that kind follows from the publisher’s summaries or the author’s biography. The available descriptions convey what the book argues, but do not settle whether public records independently verify its claims. Readers assessing the evidence should distinguish Elizondo’s account from independently checkable government records and technical analysis. The material cited here does not resolve that evidentiary question.
