What is Hunting Season about?
A mysterious young woman washes up on a riverbank, where a 12-year-old girl finds her. The girl and her overprotective father take the stranger in, only to be drawn into violence when a ruthless drug lord seeks to kill her. Distributor Samuel Goldwyn Films describes the setup in its official film synopsis and trailer page; Rialto Distribution likewise characterizes the father as a reclusive survivalist and the rescue as the start of a violent revenge story.
