Reception is not guaranteed. Distance from the transmitter, hills and other terrain, apartment walls, metal or concrete construction, nearby interference, and antenna placement all matter. An antenna marketed with a large maximum range is not a substitute for checking your actual local broadcast conditions.
How to set up the antenna
- Use The CW’s local-station information or a broadcast-station lookup to identify the CW affiliate serving your area.
- Place the antenna near a window or on an exterior-facing wall, preferably as high as practical.
- Connect it to the television’s antenna or RF input. If your television does not have a tuner, use a compatible external tuner or broadcast device.
- Run the television’s channel scan and look for the local CW channel number.
- Watch a few minutes of live programming before Tuesday night. A stable picture during a normal broadcast is a better test than the antenna’s packaging claims.
This route receives the local CW broadcast; it does not provide every streaming service, every WWE program, or guaranteed access to the CW app. If you live in a weak-signal area, a live-TV provider may be more dependable—if it carries your local affiliate.
Best cable replacement: use a live-TV streaming service
Live-TV services work much like a cable package delivered over the internet. The key requirement is not merely subscribing to a service that advertises “The CW.” You must confirm that it carries your local CW station in your ZIP code.
YouTube TV
YouTube TV’s local-channel guidance says channel availability depends on the viewer’s home area. Enter your ZIP code before subscribing and look specifically for the local CW affiliate in the lineup.

If CW is available in your market, open the live guide on Tuesday and select the affiliate at NXT’s scheduled start time. YouTube TV also provides recording functionality, which is useful if you cannot watch the two-hour broadcast live. Its location rules also matter when traveling: you may see local channels associated with your current location rather than the channels available at home. See YouTube TV’s recording information for the current feature details.
Hulu + Live TV
Hulu + Live TV lists The CW among its live channels and directs customers to check availability by ZIP code. Hulu’s live-channel guide likewise identifies The CW as a local channel that may be available depending on the market.
Hulu + Live TV is particularly logical if you already want Hulu’s on-demand programming or a current Hulu, Disney, and ESPN bundle. However, prices, plan names, promotions, regional restrictions, blackouts, and device rules change. Check the current offer and local lineup rather than relying on an old price or trial claim.
Fubo
Fubo provides an official market search for local ABC, CBS, FOX, and CW stations. Use Fubo’s local-channel information to check whether your CW affiliate is carried.
Fubo says local programming is included with its U.S. English base plans, but if a particular local station is unavailable, network programming may instead be offered on demand or through a network TV Everywhere application. That is not equivalent to a guaranteed live NXT feed, so confirm the station before paying.

Can you watch live NXT on The CW app?
The CW app is free and ad-supported, with an on-demand library of CW programming. It is worth checking for current NXT availability and replays, but the available information does not establish that every viewer can watch the live Tuesday NXT broadcast through the app.
For a dependable live plan, start with the local CW affiliate—received by antenna or delivered by a ZIP-code-verified live-TV service. Treat the CW app as a possible on-demand option, not as a universal replacement for the live broadcast.
Can you watch NXT on Peacock?
Peacock remains relevant for WWE’s broader on-demand catalog, but WWE’s current show information identifies Tuesday NXT on The CW and separately refers to watching WWE content on demand on Peacock. That supports using Peacock for replays and library viewing, not assuming it is the primary live U.S. stream of the weekly Tuesday show.

How to watch NXT from a phone, computer, or smart TV
- Confirm the source first. Verify that your local CW station is available over the air or in the live-TV service’s ZIP-code results.
- Use a supported device. Most current smart TVs, phones, tablets, browsers, and streaming-media players can run supported live-TV or network applications, but compatibility is service-specific.
- Sign in before the event. Install the relevant app, complete authentication, and test live television before Tuesday evening.
- Allow for local listings. Search for NXT in the provider’s guide instead of relying only on a saved reminder. Special events can use different schedules.
A Fire TV streaming media player is one possible device for supported live-TV or network apps, but no particular Fire TV model is required to watch NXT. The device does not create access to The CW by itself: you still need an antenna-compatible setup or a service that legitimately carries the local station.
Independent reader supportYour contribution helps us test, update, and keep practical guides available for everyone. What time does NXT start?
The regular U.S. schedule is Tuesdays from:
- 8:00–10:00 p.m. Eastern
- 7:00–9:00 p.m. Central
- 8:00–10:00 p.m. Pacific
Mountain Time viewers should check their local guide for the applicable listing. Broadcast schedules can change for special programming, holidays, or Premium Live Events. Check the CW or provider guide on the day of the show, especially for a major event such as Stand & Deliver or Deadline.
Troubleshooting: why NXT is missing or not playing
Your provider does not show The CW
Recheck the ZIP code and make sure you are looking for the local affiliate, not just a national network listing. If the affiliate is absent, compare another live-TV provider or test an antenna. Do not subscribe based solely on a service’s national channel list.
Recommended Free Tools
The antenna finds no CW channel
Move the antenna higher or closer to a window, rescan after repositioning it, and check whether your building or terrain blocks the signal. If reception remains unreliable, an antenna may not be practical at your address.
The stream works on one device but not another
Update the television or streaming player, the relevant app, and your browser or mobile operating system. Confirm that the device is supported by the provider. Restart the app and network equipment, then test another live channel. A display-driver problem can affect playback on a Windows computer, but driver utilities cannot provide rights to NXT or fix a missing CW affiliate.

You are traveling
Local-channel rules can change by location. YouTube TV, for example, explains that travelers may receive local channels for their current area. Check the service’s location and travel rules rather than expecting your home CW affiliate everywhere.
Watching from outside the United States
This guide is for U.S. viewers. WWE’s broadcast partners, schedules, and streaming rights differ by country, so the U.S. CW agreement does not establish the correct service in Canada, the United Kingdom, Australia, India, or elsewhere. Use WWE’s official listings and the local broadcaster for your country before subscribing to a service.

Enter your ZIP code in a live-TV provider’s channel checker and look for your local CW affiliate. If you can receive that station over the air, an indoor HDTV antenna is the least expensive route. If you want DVR functionality and a larger channel bundle, compare YouTube TV, Hulu + Live TV, and Fubo—but only after confirming local CW carriage. For replays, check the CW app and Peacock, while keeping the distinction between on-demand viewing and a guaranteed live NXT stream clear.
Frequently Asked Questions
What channel is WWE NXT on?
In the U.S., WWE NXT airs live on The CW on Tuesdays, generally from 8:00–10:00 p.m. Eastern and Pacific and 7:00–9:00 p.m. Central. Check the local guide for special-event changes.
Can I watch NXT free with an antenna?
Yes, if your antenna can receive the local CW affiliate. Reception depends on location, terrain, building materials, antenna placement, and the station serving your market.
Which streaming services carry live NXT?
You may be able to watch NXT live through YouTube TV, Hulu + Live TV, or Fubo, but local CW carriage varies by ZIP code. Confirm the affiliate appears in the service’s lineup before subscribing.
Can I watch NXT live on the CW app or Peacock?
The CW app is free and useful for checking on-demand CW programming, but do not assume it provides a live NXT stream for every viewer. Peacock is primarily relevant here for WWE on-demand viewing, not as the guaranteed live weekly U.S. broadcast.
The Bottom Line

Check the ZIP code, local guide, device compatibility, and current event schedule before subscribing.
