U.S. viewers: The live premiere is carried by ABC, so you need an antenna or a live-TV streaming service that carries your local ABC affiliate. Disney+ and Hulu are the practical on-demand options after the broadcast. Disney has not confirmed the 2026 date, time, performers, or streaming window in the official listings available as of August 18, 2026. The latest confirmed edition aired December 1, 2025, followed by Disney+ and Hulu availability on December 2.
When and where is the Holiday Spectacular airing?
The complete title is The Wonderful World of Disney: Holiday Spectacular. It is an annual music and entertainment program filmed at Disney destinations, including Walt Disney World, Disneyland Resort and Aulani. Do not assume the 2025 schedule repeats in 2026.

Check ABC’s holiday hub for a current listing when Disney announces the 2026 edition: ABC holiday programming. The 2025 schedule and next-day services are documented by ABC, Disney Parks Blog and Disney+.
The simplest option: watch on demand
Disney+
If you can wait until the day after the ABC broadcast, search Disney+ for the full title. The confirmed 2025 announcement described Disney+ as a next-day destination, not as a replacement for the live ABC premiere. A standard Disney+ subscription should therefore not be treated as guaranteed live ABC access.

- A Shoe Addict's Christmas
Hulu
Hulu also carried the 2025 edition the next day. Open Hulu, sign in, and search the complete title rather than “Disney Holiday Spectacular.” Hulu’s catalog and retention window can change, so a prior year’s availability does not guarantee that a future edition will remain indefinitely.
Some eligible Hulu library content can be accessed inside Disney+ with the same MyDisney login, but Disney says this applies to selected content, not necessarily every Hulu program: Disney+ help.

- Disney's Cinderella DVD + Blu-Ray
Official Disney YouTube
After the broadcast, check Disney’s official YouTube channel for an authorized upload or stream. Disney announced that option for the 2025 edition, but timing, geographic access and how long a video remains available can vary by year. Avoid unofficial reuploads, torrent sites and unauthorized IPTV services.
How to watch the ABC premiere live without cable
Use a live-TV service that carries your local ABC station. National advertising for ABC does not mean every ZIP code receives the same affiliate. Enter your ZIP code in the provider’s channel checker before subscribing.
Rank #3
| Service | Best fit | Important qualification |
|---|---|---|
| Hulu + Live TV | Live ABC plus Hulu and related on-demand libraries | Local-channel coverage varies. Hulu’s page displayed Hulu With Ads + Live TV at $89.99 per month when checked; price and trial offers are time-sensitive. |
| Fubo | Households wanting live ABC and a broad, sports-heavy lineup | Official pages list ABC, but local coverage and pricing must be checked for your ZIP code. |
| DIRECTV | Viewers wanting a larger traditional-TV-style package | ABC is included where available; packages and promotional prices differ. See current plans and package details. |
| YouTube TV | Existing subscribers seeking a broad live-TV replacement | Confirm ABC in your market before enrolling. A DIRECTV comparison page listed $82.99 per month, but verify the price at YouTube TV. |
Provider pages: Hulu + Live TV, Fubo entertainment, Fubo TV, DIRECTV Stream and DIRECTV comparison information. Prices, introductory rates, free trials and channel lineups can change; do not assume a trial exists unless the current signup page displays one.
Non-online alternative
A digital antenna can receive over-the-air ABC without a monthly TV subscription where reception is adequate. It is often the cheapest live solution, but it does not provide an online stream.

Step-by-step viewing paths
To watch after the broadcast
- Wait for the announced release date.
- Open Disney+ or Hulu and sign in to the account that holds the subscription.
- Search for The Wonderful World of Disney: Holiday Spectacular.
- If search finds nothing, check the service’s holiday or ABC collection and confirm that the release date has arrived.
- Check Disney’s official YouTube channel for an authorized version.
To watch live
- Choose an antenna or a legitimate live-TV provider.
- Enter your ZIP code and confirm that the listed channel is your local ABC affiliate.
- Check the provider’s guide for the announced local broadcast time.
- Watch through the provider’s app, website or supported TV device.
If the special is missing
- Wrong title: Use the complete official title, including “The Wonderful World of.”
- Too early: The next-day release will not appear before the announced date.
- Wrong service: Check both Disney+ and Hulu; a title may be surfaced in one app before the other.
- Region: The cited schedule and services are U.S.-specific. International catalogs, rights and release dates may differ.
- Expired window: A previous next-day release does not prove indefinite availability.
- Live-channel problem: Recheck the provider’s ZIP-code lineup; a service can carry ABC nationally while omitting a particular affiliate.
- Account or app issue: Sign out and back in, update the app and verify that the subscription is billed by the service you are using.
If you subscribe only to watch one broadcast, review the provider’s billing date and cancel through the company that bills you. Access after cancellation depends on that provider’s terms.
Do not confuse it with the Christmas parade
The Disney Parks Magical Christmas Day Parade is a separate ABC holiday program, traditionally shown on Christmas Day. Its listings and streaming arrangements are separate from The Wonderful World of Disney: Holiday Spectacular. The parade’s 2025 information appears on ABC and the Disney Parks Blog.

Frequently Asked Questions
Can I watch the Holiday Spectacular live on Disney+?
Not based on the confirmed 2025 announcement. Disney+ was listed as a next-day on-demand service; use ABC through an antenna or a live-TV provider for the premiere unless Disney announces a different 2026 arrangement.
Do I need Hulu + Live TV?
No. Hulu on-demand was a next-day option for the 2025 edition. Hulu + Live TV is only needed if you choose Hulu as your live ABC provider and its local affiliate is available in your ZIP code.
Can I watch outside the United States?
The schedules and services described here are U.S.-specific. Check local Disney, Hulu and broadcaster listings for your country.
The Bottom Line
If you can wait a day, check Disney+ and Hulu first, then Disney’s official YouTube channel. To see the premiere live, confirm that an antenna or your chosen live-TV service carries your local ABC station before paying.
