How to watch the U.S. Open golf 2025 is now an archival question: the championship ended June 15, 2025, at Oakmont. U.S. viewers used USA Network, NBC, or Peacock, with Peacock offering the broadest digital coverage; viewers elsewhere needed their country’s authorized rights holder.
The 125th U.S. Open was held in Oakmont, Pennsylvania, from June 12–15, 2025. The schedule, streaming options, international examples, and result below describe that completed event and should not be mistaken for a current or future broadcast timetable.

How can I watch the U.S. Open golf 2025?
In the United States, the 2025 U.S. Open was shown on USA Network, NBC, and Peacock. Peacock was the broadest digital option in the published schedule because it carried early coverage, featured groups, U.S. Open All-Access, Multiview, and simulcasts of NBC coverage. The official USGA viewing guide also listed the NBC Sports App and NBCSports.com for selected digital access.
Viewers who wanted the main television broadcast could use a participating pay-TV provider or live-TV streaming service carrying NBC or USA Network. The exact lineup, authentication rules, subscription terms, and geographic availability needed to be checked at the time rather than assumed from the 2025 schedule.

Was Peacock the best way to stream the 2025 U.S. Open?
Peacock was the best U.S. choice for viewers who wanted more than the main NBC and USA Network windows. Peacock’s 2025 U.S. Open coverage included early-round windows, featured groups, U.S. Open All-Access, Multiview, and simulcasts of NBC’s full coverage. The service was not necessarily the best fit for someone who only wanted a traditional channel feed already included with a participating pay-TV package.
| Viewing option | Coverage breadth | Authentication or subscription issue | Best for |
|---|---|---|---|
| Peacock | Early windows, featured groups, All-Access, Multiview, and NBC simulcasts | Availability and subscription requirements had to be checked for the 2025 event | Viewers wanting the widest U.S. digital coverage |
| NBC | Main broadcast windows, including Saturday afternoon and the Sunday final-round window | Usually accessed through a television provider or participating live-TV service | Viewers who want the principal broadcast |
| USA Network | Early Thursday, Saturday, and Sunday windows | Usually requires qualifying pay-TV or live-TV service access | Viewers following the opening or early final-round coverage |
| NBC Sports App or NBCSports.com | Selected network simulcasts and digital coverage | Access and authentication rules applied | Viewers watching through a computer or mobile device |
| USGA App and official U.S. Open digital properties | Live scoring, news, photos, video, and selected live streams | Supplemental access did not automatically mean every minute of the television broadcast | Viewers tracking scores and selected live action |
According to NBC Sports’ 2025 USGA coverage announcement, the season’s USGA championships were scheduled for nearly 400 hours of live coverage across NBC, GOLF Channel, USA Network, and Peacock. That figure covered the 2025 USGA season, not only the U.S. Open.
What were U.S. Open All-Access and featured groups?
U.S. Open All-Access was a whip-around stream designed to move between important action across Oakmont rather than remain on one fixed group. Peacock also carried featured-group feeds and Multiview windows, allowing viewers to follow selected groups or multiple feeds during the published digital windows.

The USGA listed more than 20 hours of U.S. Open All-Access coverage for the championship. All-Access was therefore complementary to the main broadcast, not a promise that every hole or every player would receive an uninterrupted feed.
How did the final round stream on Sunday, June 15?
The final round began with early digital and television options before the principal NBC window. The NBC Sports final-round schedule listed U.S. Open All-Access and full USA Network coverage from 9 a.m. to noon EDT, followed by full NBC and Peacock coverage from noon to 7 p.m. EDT.
Featured-group Multiview windows were also scheduled in the morning and afternoon. The exact viewing experience depended on the platform, device, and access rights available to the viewer.
How can I watch the U.S. Open from outside the United States?
International viewers needed to use the official broadcaster or streaming service licensed for their current country or territory. The USGA said, “Throughout the championship, the U.S. Open will be broadcast live to a global audience from nearly 200 countries and territories.” Global distribution did not mean that the U.S. Peacock feed was available everywhere.

Do not assume that a U.S. Peacock subscription works abroad. Do not treat a VPN as a guaranteed or universally permitted solution, because regional rights, service terms, and local rules differ. The reliable editorial answer is to check the USGA’s current viewing information and use the authorized service available in the viewer’s location.
Independent reader supportYour contribution helps us test, update, and keep practical guides available for everyone. Can I watch the U.S. Open on my TV without cable?
You could watch the 2025 U.S. Open without a traditional cable subscription if you had an eligible Peacock account or a participating live-TV streaming service that supplied NBC or USA Network. What should viewers check before a future U.S. Open?
A future championship may use different channels, digital services, times, and international rights holders. Before paying for access, check the following:
- Confirm the championship year and whether the schedule is current rather than an archived 2025 listing.
- Check the official USGA viewing guide for your country or territory.
- Confirm whether the desired feed is full broadcast coverage, a featured group, All-Access, Multiview, live scoring, or replay.
- Verify whether NBC or USA Network access requires a pay-TV or live-TV streaming login.
- Check the service’s supported devices and whether the local NBC affiliate is included.
- Review current subscription, blackout, and regional availability rules before signing up.
