NBC and Peacock carried the official U.S. broadcast from 8:30 a.m. until noon in all time zones, with an NBC encore scheduled for 2 p.m. Eastern and Pacific time. However, Peacock’s official event page currently lists the 2024 parade as unavailable, so viewers should not assume that a complete official replay remains online.
Unofficial street recordings may still be available, but they are not the same as NBC’s produced telecast, which included hosts, commentary, television-only performances and edited camera coverage.
Is the official 2024 parade replay still available?
As checked on August 18, 2026, Peacock’s official Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade page says the event is currently unavailable. A complete NBC replay could not be verified from the official pages available for this article.
You can still check the Peacock page, search Peacock for “Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade 2024,” and look at NBC’s official website or app while signed in with an eligible TV-provider account, if required. Spanish-speaking viewers can also check Telemundo’s official platforms, although its 2024 simulcast was a live-broadcast option and should not be assumed to remain available as an on-demand replay.

Do not confuse a creator-uploaded video with an official NBC archive. User-recorded street footage on YouTube demonstrates that route recordings exist, but such videos can be incomplete, removed or affected by copyright claims.
When did Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade 2024 air?
| Detail | 2024 information |
|---|---|
| Date | Thursday, November 28, 2024 |
| Main broadcast | 8:30 a.m. to noon in all U.S. time zones |
| Encore | 2 p.m. Eastern and Pacific time on NBC |
| English-language coverage | NBC and Peacock |
| Spanish-language coverage | Telemundo |
| Hosts | Savannah Guthrie, Hoda Kotb and Al Roker |
These times describe the national television schedule. “8:30 a.m. in all time zones” does not mean that the parade physically began in Manhattan at 8:30 a.m. local New York time, nor does it guarantee that every local NBC affiliate handled the schedule identically. For a future broadcast, check your local NBC listing.
The 2 p.m. showing was a scheduled encore telecast, not proof of a permanent on-demand replay. Macy’s published the original broadcast details in its official 2024 parade announcement.
How to search for a legitimate recording
- Open the official Peacock parade page and confirm whether a current listing exists.
- Search Peacock for the exact title “Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade 2024.”
- Check NBC’s official website or app for an authorized video, noting that TV-provider authentication may apply.
- Check Telemundo’s official platforms if you want Spanish-language coverage.
- If no official listing appears, treat third-party videos as unofficial rather than recommending questionable mirrors or unauthorized archives.

Marching bands
The parade included bands from the University of Massachusetts Amherst, Avon High School, East Tennessee State University, Flower Mound High School, Lake Hamilton High School, Sioux Falls Lincoln High School, Jonesboro High School, the University of South Carolina and West Virginia University. It also featured Macy’s Great American Marching Band and the NYPD Marching Band.
Performance groups
Performance groups included Circus Vazquez, Riverdance, AUM Dance Creations, Black Haus Creative, BOSS Kids, Indigenous Enterprise, Kilgore College Rangerettes, MOVE NYC, Spirit of America Dance and Spirit of America Cheer.
How large was the 98th parade?
Macy’s described the 2024 parade as featuring more than 5,000 volunteers, 17 featured character balloons, 22 floats, 15 heritage and novelty balloons, more than 700 clowns, 11 marching bands and 10 performance groups. These are official event figures associated with the announced parade lineup; they should not be confused with the number of items visible in a particular recording or with audience measurements.
Official broadcast versus an unofficial street recording
| Option | What it offers | Limitations |
|---|---|---|
| Official NBC/Peacock broadcast | Hosts, network commentary, polished camera work, television performances and scheduled coverage | The 2024 event is currently listed as unavailable on Peacock; access may also depend on provider authentication or subscription terms |
| Unofficial street recording | Route footage, balloons, floats, bands, crowd atmosphere and sometimes searchable chapters | May be shaky, incomplete, noisy, edited, removed or missing studio segments and Broadway performances |
A street video can help identify when a balloon, float or marching band passed a particular location. It cannot establish that you are watching the complete NBC broadcast. It may omit commercial breaks, host segments, network camera cuts, alternate audio, accessibility features and performances staged specifically for television.

Accessibility and international viewing
NBCUniversal said the full NBC broadcast was offered with live audio description through the Secondary Audio Program channel. That is a broadcast accessibility feature and should not be assumed to exist in every online recording.
The verified availability described here is U.S.-specific: NBC, Peacock and Telemundo. International rights can vary by country, so viewers outside the United States should check local broadcasters and official streaming services rather than assume that U.S. access applies worldwide.
