NBC’s live broadcast started at 8:30 a.m. in every U.S. time zone and ran until approximately noon, with a Spanish-language simulcast on Telemundo. Peacock carried the live stream at the time, but its official event page now lists the 2025 parade as “Currently Not Available on Peacock.”
That distinction matters for anyone looking for a replay: the parade was available live through several services in 2025, but viewers should not assume that the complete event remains in a streaming library.
Where the 2025 parade aired
| Platform | What viewers could watch | 2025 details |
|---|---|---|
| NBC | English-language live television broadcast | 8:30 a.m. to approximately noon in all U.S. time zones |
| Peacock | Live simulcast of the parade | Available during the 2025 event window; current event page now says it is unavailable |
| Telemundo | Spanish-language simulcast | Broadcast availability depended on the viewer’s local station |
| NBC encore | Repeat television broadcast | Scheduled for 2 p.m. ET/PT on NBC |
Watching through NBC
The most direct option was a local NBC station, either over the air or through a television package that included the station. The official NBC telecast began at 8:30 a.m., rather than the often-repeated 9 a.m. start time.
NBC’s website and NBC apps can also offer a live local-station stream, but this is not an automatic free stream for every viewer. NBC generally requires a supported cable, satellite, or digital-TV provider account, and the live feed is restricted by location and local-station agreements.

How to link a provider in the NBC app
- Open the NBC app and go to Settings.
- Select the option to link your TV provider. You can also select locked content and follow the provider-login prompt.
- Choose your cable, satellite, or digital-TV provider.
- Sign in with the provider account credentials.
- Return to the live section and check whether the local NBC stream is available.
A Peacock subscription does not substitute for a participating TV-provider login in the NBC app. NBC treats those as separate forms of access.
Watching through Peacock
Peacock carried the parade live in 2025. Contemporary viewing information identified Peacock Premium as the plan used for the event, but subscription tiers and prices change, so those historical details should not be treated as current Peacock pricing or entitlement rules.
For the current Peacock interface, local NBC programming is accessed as follows:
- Open Peacock and sign in.
- Select Channels beside Browse.
- Look near the top of the channel lineup for the local NBC channel assigned to the device’s location.
Peacock currently says that live local NBC access requires Premium Plus. That present-day requirement should not be retroactively described as the exact plan required for the 2025 parade.

Can you still replay the 2025 parade?
Not reliably through Peacock. As of August 9, 2026, Peacock’s official Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade event page states that the event is currently unavailable. Special-event rights can have limited streaming windows, so a page that hosted the live broadcast does not guarantee an on-demand replay afterward.
The NBC website or app may also show different availability depending on the program’s rights window, the viewer’s market, and the linked television provider. If the parade is not listed in the service’s current library or live schedule, an old event link alone will not restore access.
Troubleshooting NBC streaming access
| Problem | Likely reason | What to check |
|---|---|---|
| The NBC live stream is locked | No participating TV provider is linked | Open Settings and link a supported cable, satellite, or digital-TV account |
| Your provider is not listed | NBC does not have a streaming agreement with that provider | Check NBC’s supported-provider information or use a local NBC broadcast signal |
| The local NBC channel does not appear | Market restrictions or an unavailable affiliate feed | Confirm the device location and local-station coverage |
| The app says the stream is unavailable | Unsupported market, affiliate dispute, provider agreement, or incorrect billing address | Verify the account’s billing location and whether NBC live streaming is supported in the market |
| Peacock does not show the parade | The event’s streaming rights window has ended | Check the official Peacock event page rather than relying on an old search result |
Timing by U.S. time zone
NBC announced the 2025 broadcast for 8:30 a.m. in all U.S. time zones. That means the advertised local start was:
- 8:30 a.m. Eastern
- 8:30 a.m. Central
- 8:30 a.m. Mountain
- 8:30 a.m. Pacific
The main broadcast ended at approximately noon local time. NBC also scheduled an encore at 2 p.m. Eastern/Pacific; viewers should check local listings for the corresponding station schedule and any local programming changes.

What not to rely on
- “The parade starts at 9 a.m. everywhere.” The 2025 official broadcast start was 8:30 a.m. in all U.S. time zones.
- “Any Peacock subscription unlocks the NBC app.” NBC requires a participating television-provider account for its app’s local live stream; Peacock membership is not the same credential.
- “The 2025 parade is still on Peacock.” Peacock’s current event page says it is unavailable.
- “The live stream will automatically become a replay.” Special-event availability can end when the rights window closes.
FAQ
When did the 2025 Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade take place?
It took place on Thursday, November 27, 2025.
What time did the 2025 parade start?
NBC’s official broadcast began at 8:30 a.m. in all U.S. time zones and ran until approximately noon.
Was the parade available on Peacock?
Yes, Peacock simulcast the parade live in 2025. However, Peacock’s current event page says the 2025 parade is now unavailable, so a replay should not be assumed.
Can I watch the parade through the NBC app?
NBC live-stream access depends on the viewer’s market and provider. Usually, you must link a participating cable, satellite, or digital-TV provider account; a Peacock subscription does not count as that TV-provider login.
The Bottom Line
The 2025 parade was broadcast live on NBC at 8:30 a.m. nationwide, simulcast on Peacock, and also carried in Spanish on Telemundo. Since the event has already passed and Peacock now marks its event page unavailable, the practical options are limited to any officially authorized replay or archive that NBC, Peacock, or the broadcasters may provide. Do not rely on outdated claims about a permanent Peacock replay or a universal 9 a.m. start.
